Seeing all these SG's / SF's get paid makes Harden's contract a bargain. Harden must be mad.

    Harden - 5 years / 80 MM
    Hayward - 4 years / 63 MM
    Parsons - 3 years / 46 MM

Almost the same per year amount and yet Harden is aa couple of tiers above the others. We got a steal.

He's already signed one. Probably get a big pay day in 2016.

What would a Klay max contract look like? He's a good player and IMO a top 5 SG in the NBA right now, so he's worth a max contract.

I'd rather have Heyward 4 years/$63M than Harden 5 years/$80M. Parsons is more overpaid, but maybe he will play better with Dirk getting a lot of attention. Harden is such a terrible defender that he hurts his team more than people know.

Well hell, why they just pay everyone the max. I'm sure the owners will blame the players for "making" them pay it. Rubio, Thompson, Hayward, & Parsons as max players is just stupid. But if they can get it more power to them.

No way. I agree that he gives absolutely no effort on defense, but there is not a chance that Heyward is a more valuable player than him at that contract.

If I'm Minnesota, I hit the reset button. Trade Rubio and Love, get Wiggins/Bennett/picks, etc. and start from scratch.

DO NOT PAY RUBIO AND THOMPSON THE MAX.

While I think it's stupid that some players think they're worth the max, my opinion is also irrelevant.

You're worth what someone is willing to pay you. Can't be mad at Klay. Sell yourself high and get what you can.

I am just grateful for a GM like Morey who doesn't cave into the pressure and make stupid decisions (e.g. Parsons).

Ok, well, if you enjoy losing in the first round every year, then go Harden. He is as good as Kobe, Wade and MJ...you are absolutely correct.

Harden has been to the WCF.

As opposed to Hayward who has been where? Yeah the LOTTERY season after season.

You're definitely either drunk or suffering from some other disorder. Please get it checked before it's too late.

You don't think Heyward can get to Finals coming off the bench that year as the sixth man with Durant, Westrbook, and Ibaka on the first team? Yes, Harden is a great sixth man and so is Jamal Crawford...but J-Crossover only gets paid $5M per season.

Why not? This offseason has been like Oprah's in terms of deals. "You get a max contract. And you get a max contact! Everybody gets a max contact!!!"

    Wat.

Anyways, I'll sum it up quite nicely. You have the choice between two pairs of player: on one hand, you have two players, one whom is a 9 on offense and a 3 on defense and the other whom is a 3 on offense and a 9 on defense. On the other, you have two players, both of whom are a 6 on offense and 6 on defense. Which do you pick?

If you pick the latter box, you're an idiot.
