How long before David Stern has to deal with this issue? Seems like there are more and more frequent reports of the officiating.
The statement by the ref is not nearly as cut and dry as the lawsuit makes it seem. Spooner might just mean that bad calls go both ways, so it will probably even out. Kinda like a when a player has a poor shooting half and the announcers say it should even out over the game.
^^What NBA have you been watching? The NBA is the only sport where "make up call" is part of the regular vocabulary. No way the NBA wants this anywhere near the courts and if I am the AP/journalist, I would take it as far as they would let it go. How many ex-players/coaches who are announcers would have to acknowledge make up calls, super star calls, etc.
You know, if Vince McMahon took over the NBA, it wouldn't be more crooked or staged, but it would certainly be a lot more fun to watch. Nicknames would be on the marquee : BLACK MAMBA vs The KIDD... LBJ would be the heel he really is and it would be fun to hate him, instead of just hating him. Ah well. NBA, you suck.
