I'm pretty sure the USA backed this coup. BBC reported that the soldiers declared loyalty to a cleric living in sanctuary here in the USA

I don't buy into anyone's propaganda - not yours, nor ATW's. You are both just opposite sides of the same crappy coin in my opinion.

He has supported ISIS - of course he has - that is well documented as his number one aim is not the defeat of ISIS but holding the Kurds in check who want to carve out a piece of Turkey for Kurdistan.

Of course there's enormous pressure on him to move against ISIS, which he has done by hosting U.S. basis and occasionally bombing the right side in this war, and he has been clamping down on ISIS immigrants - and that is why ISIS has been hitting Turkey of late.

None of what is happening can be reduced to simplicity like many people want to do. Erdogan isn't the saint you make him out to be nor the villain ATW makes him into.

I personally think Turkey stands to do better with a new leader - maybe the coup was launched because the army realize that he was going to be the next Assad with a fundamentalist bent.

You are an idiot. Comparing me to Exiled is something only someone as stupid as you can do.

You and Exiled are both on the same side of the same crappy coin - the idiot side.

Do you even reflect at all what you are posting? You clearly state that he has supported ISIS. How does that not make him a villain? Seriously.

    Just so I am clear
    The leadership was democratically elected?
We are hope for the over throw of a Democratically Elected Government?

I'm just asking here cause that seems to be against the U.S.'s policy of democracy

The idea that every government we don't like. . . Even the democratically elected ones . . . .we root and borderline encourage them to be over thrown through military means. . . is concerning

Hitler was democratically elected. Would have been better for the world if he had been overthrown before 1938. You fail.

Could you formulate your thoughts rather than throwing out unreflected soundbites?

Just to be clear, Hitler was appointed Chancellor and was never elected president.

Currently how many peaceful Islamic countries? Only like 1 or 2 at the most, Kuwait and maybe one other.
