It's a legit point that Murry could have signed Lowry who was ready to come over. Fact is he took a risk to get Bosh or Melo when he had Lowry in hand.

Can you blame him for chasing Bosh? Probably not. Hindsight is 20/20. But if you are going to dump Lin and Asik anyway, why not take Lowry and resign Parsons? Anyway, doesn't matter.

When I see a JCDenton thread it is ALWAYS a 1-star thread rating for me.

Shame on you by not even bothering to try putting up a graph JC. At least we could endlessly make fun of those.

Ok and?, my point is morey snagged him in a lop sided trade. And discovered talents like Beverly, parsons, dragic and Lowry. Picked up brewer and josh smith. He's a boy among men

Is it a legit point? Morey could have failed to sign Lowry.

If Daryl Morey really deserved his job, he would have discovered human cloning and created a team of 8 young Hakeems and 4 Hardens by now. Fire that lazy b*stard.

It's amazing people still think Rockets had a chance at Lowry.

exactly. Raps GM is Masai Ujiri. That guy is legit gm, resigned lowry for such a cheap price, wouldn't let him go anywhere.
By the way, ex rockets have bad taste for rockets team.

I meant, it's amazing that people think the Rockets didn't have a chance at Lowry.

He said in an interview with Lebatard all it would have taken was a call (from 713)and he wouldn't be in Toronto anymore.

Don't really agree with the sentiment of this thread, but yeah I agree that we should have gone out and gotten Lowry.

Then we match Parson, we'd probably be 4 or 5 games better than we are now.

The guy wanted to be here and we asked him to wait what would be weeks for Melo/Bosh to decide. Smh, who could blame him for going back to Toronto?

"Lowry told Abrams he was very open to leaving Toronto this offseason and did his homework on winning situations. Undoubtedly, the talent around Lowry with the Rockets would’ve been better than what Lowry has with the Raptors. The problem with Houston was that while Lowry was committed to being a better teammate, the Rockets weren’t as committed to him specifically. He was Plan B, not Plan A. The team only had salary-cap room for one big-ticket acquisition, and Morey wanted to wait for the Anthony and Bosh situations to play out before committing his money to Lowry.

"In the meantime, Toronto GM Masai Ujiri sold Lowry on being the centerpiece of a team that finished 2013-14 with the third-best record in the Eastern Conference. It was his team, and there was no playing second fiddle to Anthony or Bosh. Lowry quickly re-signed with the Raptors on July 3 for $48 million over four years, eschewing the extended drama that followed other marquee free agents. As a result, while both Lowry and Houston had interest in a reunion, a formal offer was never made."

[IMG] Maybe Morey should have consulted her?
