Jones is awkward and robotic when he gets the ball in a stationary position in the post. Plus he can't shoot free throws. Replaceable with an energy guy who are a dime a dozen in the league.

DMo has turned into SoftMo and he can't shoot free throws too.

Wait - aren't you the one who is always angry and slagging out the players

I'm just pointing to a redundant argument. It is stupid to say 'well, if we traded the 2nd best guy on the court for an all NBA 3rd team guy, we would have won' - well, imagine how much we would have won by if we had traded not the 2nd best player on the court today for an all NBA 3rd team guy.

It's a stupid argument - who knows what the result would have been.
Having said that, I would have been happy trading EITHER of those guys for Goran.

So... Winning this game alone is worth losing a solid player?? Goran wasn't going to stay here. Too big a gamble for one season. Thank goodness DM isn't an idiot and has the patience to make moves that better us now and don't wreck our future.

DM didn't get Goran because the Heat offered two unprotected first round picks.

The whole point of basketball is to win games.
DM isnt a moron, if he takes a risk, it is normally a 'safe' one. Had we acquired Dragic, then it would have been under the understanding there is a chance he remains. There was no chance, so he didnt push hard.
But, in whatifland, if we had the chance, yes, I would trade a solid player to win games, because the chance would have existed to go on winning games!
