No more cuts are needed. 13 Active, 2 inactive Canaan and Covington will almost certainly be inactive the first few months of the season until injuries happen, and opportunity opens up.
I don't know why this makes me a little sad. Love the game, but dislike the business side of things sometimes.
Yup. Especially because he wasn't some rookie like Jordan Henriquez (who knew he wasn't going to make it most likely) Reggie came SO close and didn't make the cut. Season opens up tomorrow and he doesn't have a team. Definitely the worst part of the business.
and still has his $500,000 guaranteed from the rockets if he just watches rockets games on tv. Visited different cities and countries during his 2 years here. my salary $50,000 X 10years = $500,000 reggie williams 2 months = $500,000 how do yall feel bad I wish I could take this deal !!
LOL. I know, I know. I'm just hyper loyal and I get attached. Plus, I just hate that his injury may have held him back from really showing what he can do. That said, we would have had to cut Cov, Brewer or Smith to keep him, and I'd feel just as sad about any of those. I'm aware this is a personal issue, lol.
lol yeah i agree his injury did hold him back so he didnt really get a good chance, but he still has his 500k though lol
The writing was all over the walls when Howard didn't give him a cool knickname...Soon as I saw "Reginald" I was like this guy is gone.
That's good news! I was hoping that Brewer wasn't going to get cut because he showed promise at times.
Good decision. Ever since Williams signed, I have been screaming at this decision by the normally wise Morey. He is an above-average shooter and decent ball handler, but gives you absolutely ZERO in every other category (defense, loose balls, rebounds, team play, you name it). He is like a homeless man's SG version of PatPat (at least PatPat sometimes plays decent position defense, and has the potential to improve) who looks like Harden. That said, classy message from Williams in the OP, and full respect and best of luck to him.
