I didn't think it was so bad tonight. But the Ken Mauer one where he handed the ball to Dwight in the backcourt to trick us into a backcourt violation...that was a little sleazy on his part.

It was so obvious the clock operator anticipated the out of bounds whistle and stopped the clock with .3 seconds. Which just so happens to be the minium amount of time for a catch and shoot. That's some dirty **** right there.

The Pels should be fined for that clock management. League has to teach clock operators a lesson.

Isn't the clock meant to start as soon as the ball hits the rim in this situation? Timekeeper didn't start it until Dwight got hands on it, then the pause at 0.3 and the blatant run out of bounds... what a debacle!

    We won.

    That's all that matters.

    Move on.

Wow, that is ridiculous. How anyone (Rockets fan or not) can look at that and not be outraged is unreal. Imagine if he had made that shot.

Pretty blatant screw up there by the clock crew at the end.

However idk if anyone noticed but when Eric Gordon got fouled like an extra second went off the clock, there should have been like 3 seconds left instead of 1.7.

Don't know who screwed up more...the clock operator or the ref that allowed the play to continue after the dude literally ran right past him behind the baseline to rescue the ball.

I really think the time keeper stopped the clock because he saw that the ball was clearly out of bounds when Cunningham caught the ball out of bounds and anticipated a whistle. When they realized that there was no whistle, they started it again.

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone, everyone here is focused on the time and not on the steps out of bounds. No one in the video even realizes Cunningham was out of bounds.

Pablo pointed at the baseline with a bit of a WTF, but only after Tyreke's shot went up

It wasn't a clock malfunction. It started perfectly. It stopped too soon. It stopped as soon as the clearly out of bounds player tipped the ball...with 0.3 seconds left. The timekeeper correctly stopped the clock because Cunningham was out of bounds. The ref didn't blow the whistle though to stop play.

So, if that shot went in, they can review the clock and see that it stopped without a whistle, and they can call the game. Or they can say Rockets ball because NOLA was out of bounds.

Clock issues are reviewable. It's an easy call to say the timekeeper anticipated a whistle (rightfully so). They don't even have to say the dude was out of bounds. They just see the clock inadvertently stopped.

It did favor them a bit, but not THAT much. We got a couple calls here and there. Some of those calls would have sucked @ss if we had lost, though... or if Davis made that last shot where the timer clearly froze. Hopefully they would have wiped that away.

I think the worst call that went against us, while technically not the "wrong" call, was the Jason Terry backcourt violation. I agree with Worrell that it felt like we got ambushed. I guess the ref may have just not been paying attention, but usually when something like that is about to happen, they give a nudge like "You know you have to catch this in the frontcourt, right?" Seemed super lame that he let Dwight make the inbounds without saying anything.

Holy ****! How did I miss that during the game!? That was even more flagrant of a blown call than when Michael Finley stepped out in the 1st round in '05. Then there was the fact that the timer froze at .3 seconds, giving Davis like an extra half second to get a shot off.

Man, between that and the no-call against Memphis... dafuq is going on. Why does Silver want us to not get the 2nd seed? lulz
