I think we should have a thread where we can tell our rowdies to shout things at players coming here, and incase some rowdies are members on the board, you can spread it to the other rowdies when you get to the game.
LOL. You guys are so sensitive. Keep it up Rowdies! My favorite from one of the rowdies yesterday was to Mike Sweetney (I think) at the free throw line: Before the shot: "YOU'RE BALD!!" After the made free throw: "YOU'RE STILL BALD!!"
I recommend the chants "No Trade Clause! No Trade Clause!", "Mike James Who? Mike James Who?", and "We Love Rafer Alston! We Love Rafer Alston!"
Good idea...chants of "RAFER! RAFER! RAFER!" would be awesome during James' free throws. The last game was typical Stromile with his one highlight reel dunk and nothing else.
AFAIK, Finley jumped ship from Dallas. So taunting him for that would be justified. Swift on the other hand, took less money to join us, and we traded him back to the team he didn't want in the first place.
Finley got cut from Dallas so they wouldn't have to pay luxury tax on his salary. So they cut him because they wanted to save money. As for Mike James taunts, how about, "Cheap w****, clap clap clap". Maybe that's too racy, but it'd fun to use some of his ridiculous sayings against him.
I'm for passionate fans who show a bit of class, not Philly-style rude fans. But they're not called Red "Rowdies" for nothing Yeah please say something over to Mike James
Hehehehe! Good good goooooooood (Jim Carrey) We love rafer, we do! We love rafer, we do ..... aaaaaaaaaah rafer we love you!!! Mike James who are you?
Chanting "We Love Rafer" is risky. Keep him out of it just in case MJ lights him up and Rafer goes 2-9.
Well...ordinarily "you got traded" or "Houston reject" would be a mean thing to say in any normal situation. But they're red rowdies for a reason. If they can't heckle opposing players then they have no business being called rowdies. And if opposing players can't handle the heckling without letting it get under their skin, then that's pathetic. This is sports, not ballet.
To be fair, it would be cool to try and somehow help spread the chants around. Many can be hard to pick out exactly, even if you're nearby. I figure, the more people that can join in, the more effective the chants would be... Evan
why boo Stro, you cant say he didnt try and do his best. The expectations were just too high. Mike James on the other hand go ahead, but this guy can use that and drop 30. But we got T-mac and Yao so who cares.
Get over it. It's sports ...where the object is to knock people over and declare a loser. If you are gonna be 'politically correct,' at least learn how to do it. This is a ridiculous conversation.
