No. I read that this game is gonna be a double disc. One for data(all 107gb for xbox) and one disc for actual gameplay.
If the data is on the disc, that means ill have to download less of this data than if I were to go the digital route, right? Confusing question but I'm just concerned my bandwidth is going to reach the cap and i want to downless as less i can.
If youre getting a hard copy disc, you wont use any of your bandwidtfh, as you are just downloading directly from the disc. You dont even need internet.
This is inaccurate because every game for the past -- I don't know how long -- has had a day 1 patch required. This game won't be the exception, as for how big it'll be...who knows.
You and me both, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Even if they do release it on PC, it's at least a year away if not more (otherwise they would have announced it already).
Isnt the patch different than downloading the primary game onto your system? How would a household without internet be able to play their brand new purchased game if they dont have internet?
i think it is for somethig different. Perhaps for the multiplayer, Idk A friend of mine lives in All Alone, USA with no internet and doesnt need to download anything to play. Pops the disk in, installs and he's good to go.
I mean...yes, you can play a single player game without installing updates in a lot of cases (not all), but you were telling him he didn't need the internet at all -- if he wants the most bug free version of the game that isn't the case.
1.02 day 1 patch is ~3 GB. Performance and bug fixes, but not mandatory to play. https://www.gamepur.com/news/29987-red-dead-redemption-2-day-one-patch-changelog.html
Yea their pc policy truly sucks. Will probably buy a PS4 pro end of the year, the game catalogue has grown to a point where I can find enough games (rdr2, uncharted 1-4, horizon, spiderman, detroit, god of war, shadow of colossus, persona, last of us remastered, digimon etc) to justify the purchase. Wish all these exclusives and time differences would stop, really looking forward to the era of streaming games.
lol so you are basically saying if he wants to use the internet with the game then he needs ummm ... the internet.
Yes, definitely agree with you, just sucks... I mean RDR never even got a pc release (other than emulator etc., so not an actual release), so... More than a year or never.... Blah, I'll just get it on one the consoles I guess
A poster said you don't even need internet and you said that's inaccurate every game has a day 1 patch. He then said the patch is different, how would a house without internet be able to play? You then said you can play without internet but if you want to use internet you need internet. lol
