We are human, not animals. That big guy has been playing for Rockets so hard every night. And when he got injured, you are beginning to talk about trading him? Shame on you guys.

No one ever said anything about trading him. The whole point of this thread was to state that we should seriously think about not resigning Yao after his contract ends in 2010.

    No way!

We've got Morey on our side. Give him an extra year and lets see what he pulls.

I think you need to turn your computer off and settle down. You don't let a player as good as Yao walk for nothing, anyway.

I agree with this line of thinking. We just need to get another quality big man who can play with and spell Yao, easier said than done though. That and get something to fill McGrady's roster spot.

we should resign Yao , but not with a max contract.
Yao's future should be a sixth man with 20MPG

Yao is still a max player, look at Big Z, except Yao still has more skills and is more effective. Yao's uniqueness is his size, and never his speed. Him losing a step really doesn't change anything for him.

it only makes him that much more of a defensive liability

yao will never succeed as a role player/off the bench type, because those are the players who give you hustle and energy.

To anyone attacking the fans who want to rebuild....

Keep in mind that we have been going nowhere AS AN ORGANISATION.
We are not evebclose to winning champinships.

Stop attacking the fans supporting a rebuild. If you guys READ properly, all these people are saying that YAO IS GREAT! HE'S A GREAT PLAYER!

They are also realistic in the fact that YAO GETS INJURED EVERY YEARS, and this inhibits the Rockets from reaching their potential.

all you guys that hate on us who support a rebuild neglect the fact taht potential can only get you so far. Potentially, TMAC YAO and RON - champioship.

THAT IS ONLY POTENTIAL and has has nothing to do with REALITY.

Reality is that Yao and TMac get injrued every season, and Ron can never get a call to go his way. No matter how good our players are THEY WILL NOT BE SUCCESSFUL due to every thing I have mentioned above.

If you are still stupid and blind enough to think we can achieve success with a Yao/Tmac team, READ EVERYTHING THAT I TYPED IN CAPS. I typed so much in caps because some of you guys are BLIND. I haveo nly repeated what other in this thread have said because these are very valid points that YOU GUYS NEVER ADDRESS BECAUSE YOU CANNOT READ.

    Nuff said...

If Yao were traded, I would take solace in knowing that all "his fans" would go with him and shortly thereafter realize it isn't Houston holding him back.

Are you kidding me? We proved in this series how close we are to a contender.
