Reason #59841275 I get sick listening to Bill Worrell

Cornbread is a legend. He might be a little slower to the punch and hit a little softer than he used to but he's still the best in town.

I guess it's just a CF thing, maybe just because it's a Rockets forum but I don't understand why it became cool to hate on Ackerman. He's not that bad.

That's called being unprofessional.

Ian Eagle carries a 3 inch thick binder with player info, stats, bio info with him for every game. It's called being good at your job and not coasting on seniority.

That's why people hate baby boomers. I respect hard work, not seniority.

 

Bill has put in an enormous amount of work, he's been broadcasting Rocket games for 38 years, did Astros for 19 years. He knows in depth details about almost every player in the league, he still does a fantastic job, a few slip ups here and there don't cancel the rest out, you can tell he studies before every game with the stories or backround information he brings up about random players all the time.

 

The only thing Bill knows about players is if they were the "number one draft choice". He has no significant information and contributes almost nothing to the discussion of modern basketball.

I can't tell if he studies because half the crap that comes out of his mouth is the same stuff he's repeated like a canary for the last 5 years.

Bill Worrell is a legend and we'll miss him when he's gone for good. With that said, Craig Ackerman is a great addition. All in all, Houston has one of the best broadcasting teams in the league. Calvin, Clyde, Bullard, Ackerman, & Worrell are fantastic--granted they all say dumb things and produce some homerific commentary at times including some of the corniest sayings. 10/10 no one on this board could do it better, so if you can't stand listening, turn down your TV volume you clown.

Bill Worrell is an OG, I love his old corny jokes/catch phrases & homerism, and I like that he calls out terrible plays when he sees it, I grew up listening to him and personally think he knows his stuff, yeah he might forget things here & there but it's not a huge deal, love his voice.

 

I am very serious. Clutch laid down the law that no fake news threads are allowed on july 12th.
