T-mac had everything kobe had except for durablity, maybe if he had a better cast earlier in his career like kobe he wouldn't have broken down so early in his career for having to carry so much of the burden.

Tmac career average: 22 pts on 42%
Kobe career average: 25 pts on 45%

    I'm just saying.

Kobe is the guy who will attack the basket relentlessly when his jumpshot doesn't fall for him while Tmac on the other hand will jack up meaningless three's 2 feet beyond the arc when his team desperately needs 2 pts to stop the drought.

Not really. Maybe we watch different players, but Kobe takes as many long jumpers and fadeaways as T-Mac

    Wish I could edit.

T-Mac and Kobe average the same number of free throws per 36 minutes over their career. 6.5 to 6.4 for T-Mac

TMac carried a bad team for 4 years, Kobe carried a bad team for 3.5 years. Kobe's one year older and played one more season, plus 10s more playoff series. TMac is not as durable, but not for having a bigger burden.

I'm still stunned at seeing the words "beloved" and "Raptors" next to each other.

Joe Johnson the rest? R u kidding? Joe had his highest career scoring in 06/07 at 25 a game, thats below tmacs career averages acording to the poster of this thread. He also didnt assist and rebound as well. Im not saying tmac wos better because of stats, but he wasnt joe johnson, their games are different

Kobe had 3 rings after playing 6 years in the NBA. Tracy tried winning in Toronto, Orlando, and finally the Rockets.

I recognize his ability to score all out against teams. Whenever he wanted to.

I hate to do say this on a Rockets board, but think of what Tracy is saying for a minute when he told Les all he cared about was money.

It's as if no one on the team wanted to win that game except for Tracy and Yao. Juwan was told he had to do surgery (you can't pay off a guy who makes $8 million after he saw how much trouble Webber got in).

The rest of the guys....I don't know. Go watch that game if you don't remember it.

You must be thinking of game 5. Game 7 was most certainly not rigged, unless you mean that all the Rockets players purposely tanked.

Tracy McGrady is only good when he is "on fire" or when he "imposes his will". Kobe can do it night in and night out and adjust to his shortcomings on any given day. Jumpshot not falling? Drive. Can't drive or score tonight? Set up teammates.

While Tracy walks down and jacks up a long contested "heat check"...

I've always thought that an Optimus Prime MerGady was better than Kobe on the offensive end. But that only lasted like 2 seconds before MG went to the Rox and got injured. Dude was LerBon-like freaky back then.
