Why would the Rockets terminate the deal?

They have matched. They have aaaages before they need to send him back to RFA don't they?

Cut our losses and get on with it. He obviously doesn't want to play for us.

    What losses?

Screw him. He's ours - keep him dangling on the line for a few months, then send him back to RFA land, and look for a S&T over the summer.

But guys, you're still not getting it. Please research and study the situation. You'll see.

I'm ok with that as long as there aren't million DMo threads in here instead of talking about how well our guys are playing.

But everyone besides them has been completely vindicated.

There was no Yule C. That was basketballholic believing BJ's junk. And DD will believe anything if it means pitting a player against Morey. Especially a white player.

DD has been surprisingly mature about this once the facts have come out . I guess it's just a special few that can stay strong even when the preponderance of evidence is against them

Has any other player ever survived a Trade rescind and prolonged RFA and now a holdout signing to flourish back in the NBA?

Signing the Brooklyn Offer was the worst move DMO could have made ... lets compare the other deals he was offered.

    1. 4.4 MIl for 1 year then UFA
    2. 8 mil a year, first year fully guaranteed for 2 years then UFA
    3. 5 mil guaranteed , then 3 more guaranteed if healthy in Jan, Then 8 more guaranteed if healthy and producing in March, then 2 more years locked in at 8 per ( not guaranteed)

He has basically lost a third of the season for about .5 million more guaranteed and now depending on how his new "holdout" goes I'm not sure he can even get that full amount because at some point we will start pro-rating his contract. Oh and he did this at the price of losing all potential contract upside for the next 3 years afterwards.

If he's healthy and producing, he loses big.

Even If he's unhealthy , depending on how long he can stay healthy for he loses. If he can't stay healthy until march then theoretically he would have been best off going for the 2 year 8 per first year fully guaranteed.

I wonder if Morey was smiling or shocking his head when he matched the offer sheet? Part of me wants to belive Morey called DMO and asked him if he was sure this was the offer he agreed to.

PEOPLE LISTEN! It's not that the ROCKETS didn't match his incentives, the contract was written TEAM FRIENDLY. The ONLY way Dmo would've got his "$6miion" incentive(s) is IF and ONLY IF he would've played with the NETS. The second Morey matched the Nets contract the $6 mill incentive(s) automatically nullified because he was no longer a member of the NETS which was the team offering the incentives. ROCKETS are NOT responsible for giving DMO incentives written by another team, that's like saying "Hey Dwight we will pay you a bonus of $6 mill if you make the ALL -STAR team while with the Hawks".... (don't work like that)
With that said it seems to me like BJ has really screwed DMO over. Either BJ and DMO didn't know or understand the claus in the offer sheet or they thought they could arm wrestle against Morey who's only an MIT Busniess major.
BJ has set DMO up for failure and I'm not sure if DMO sees it because at this time DMO has 2 options:
    1) Take his physical and request a trade AFTER the season or Rockets just don't bring him back
    2) Continue to listen to BJ and sit out the rest of the year while looosing out on money on top of being fined by the league.
Rockets did nothing wrong besides played and cooperated within the rules. BJ and DMO seem to think that they are above the CBA and think they are going to twist people's arms and get what they want when in reality nothing else can be done besides take your physical and walk your happy ass to the end of the bench.

Like someone posted in another DMo thread, BJ must have locked DMo in a cage in his basement. DMo is acting like he's been living under a rock all this time listening only to BJ.
