Mark Cuban is mouthing off about possibly running for president as an independent. He stated yesterday that most of the Democrat's proposals are "Headline p*rn" and that he does not believe that any of the current candidates running for the Democrats can beat Trump.

Mark Cuban leaves open possibility of running for president as an independent
    • Cuban tells CNBC he hasn’t ruled out an independent run for the White House in 2020.
    • He says some things would need to happen for him to be motivated to run.
    • When asked who on the Democratic side has the best chance of winning, Cuban said “nobody right now.”
    • Cuban says most of the Democratic proposals are just “headline p*rn.”
    • “I don’t think they believe what they’re proposing is passable,” he says.
Cuban says he has not ruled out running for president. But neither has he apparently made the kind of concrete moves that someone would need to make to conduct a plausible campaign for president.

However, if he did run, he would siphon off whatever votes he got predominately from the Democrats.

Probably, but I think he would get a lot of support from moderate Republicans as well.

You do know that the Senate and house were Republican led right?

Do you understand who really holds the power in state government?

Why doesn't Cuban just run as a Democrat? Running as an independent, probably, won't work and could really f&&& over the Dem candidate or possibly Trump... tbd I suppose..

Yeah, I'm a resident of the State of Montana and I have the same problem when it comes to describing any of Bullocks "achievements".

Diblasio does not deserve his own thread.

Why isnt booker getting the same press as buteigiege? He seems to have a similar pedigree

I mean, really Bill de Blasio, you think you have any chance of winning the nomination, like, for real?

Don't think he has a chance in hell but many people thought the same with Trump.

    Because of poll numbers.

Booker is struggling, Buttiegieg is surging. The press is definitely more likely to cover an underdog that is overperforming that has a compelling "first time" story than cover ANOTHER Senator that is performing like a mediocre candidate.

one assessment about why Booker is losing out to Buttiegieg:

. . . The Democrats, the party of identity politics, have several candidates who would be “historic” picks if chosen as the party’s nominee. If chosen and elected, Booker would be the first former Mayor to be elected President but not the first black man. Julian Castro would be the first Hispanic. Mayor Pete is capitalizing on his sexuality and that, I think, is making the difference. Not to put too fine of a point on it but we’ve already had a black man from the U.S. Senate who won the presidency. America hasn’t had an openly gay president.

    Didn't I say that? :p

He has a compelling "first time" story. I do think he also comes across better on tv than Booker does and he has a lot of support from the gay community. That makes him more "interesting" I think.
