If we trade up and draft Damian Lillard...and Lillard turns into a legit starting PG by mid-season, we could offer up Dragic at the Trade Deadline and get a very nice return.

I realize this all hinges on Lillard turning out to be a big-time stud...but it's a nice thing to think about.

You never know what'll happen with these Rooks in the NBA.

Are you gonna start a new thread for every "thought" you have? There's a random trade thread, and plenty of draft threads already.

You better make a comprehensive thread to post all your ideas in pretty quick because you are about to lose thread making abilities.

Yup, sounds like something the Rockets would do.

Yes. Every time a player matures, trade him for more rookie playing time. That's winning basketball.

Your mother should have used you as trade bait. Probably need to throw in a first round pick to get you off her hands.

You realize that it is his decision to sign wherever he wants right? Why would he sign with us just to be traded when he could just go sign wherever he wanted instead of getting traded to a crappy team with a high pick.

Every player on our team is potential trade bait. As will be every player in the future. It will never stop.

    It's the Rockets, after all.

And why would he have to know we're planning to trade him if Lillard were to become the next great thing?

If Damian Lillard looks like he's maturing into the next Chris Paul...

    I'm making the trade.

Some of you need to stop adopting Les Alexander's mindset. It's really not the way to go.

 If the Rockets traded up for a POINT GUARD, then Dragic would know something is up. Thus, your brilliant idea goes out the window.

Just because we trade up a few spots for Lillard shouldn't immediately set off fire alarms in Dragic's mind. If we deal Lowry, all we're doing by trading up for Lillard is telling Dragic (and others) that we REALLY like Damian Lillard.

No reason for Goran to jump to any conclusions.

 Another addition to the RealContender Files. You might remember him from other horrible threads such as:

    Does Jordan Want Harkless Too?

Will Everyone Please Stop Calling LeBron A Superstar?

    Roy Hibbert AND Tim Duncan?

Does Arnett Moultrie have Kevin Durant Potential?

Trade 14th Pick, 2014 1st, Chase Budinger, and Patrick Patterson for Rodney Stuckey

and a bunch of other random threads in the draft sections about players he thinks will be studs.

The Rockets almost traded Dragic which cost us his loyalty towards Rockets and a home town discount. I think he will sign with us in the off-season if we trade Lowry and we match the top bid. He wants to start and he likes it here, but it's business.

Now if we trade Lowry and draft a backup PG, why would the Rockets trade their starting PG? This only becomes possible if Les decides to pay Dragic more than other teams. I don't see him signing here if Lowry is still on the Roster.

But he has like 10 green squares. He is the madonna of clutchfans. Must respect Madonna. Must respect.

In all seriousness, Carl has put up some ****ty threads. He thinks they are smart because he tries to allude to his point, rather than say it.
