Are you truly so simple minded that you don't realize that is the goal of every political party when they lose a presidential election? I can't point to an example of an opposition party that didn't make it their goal to recoup any losses suffered when they lose elections but I can point to you plenty of presidents who worked with opposition parties in order to find compromises.....and only one that told the opposition party that they'd have to sit in the back of the bus because "elections have consequences" even if they wanted to go along with what the president's agenda.

Sorry kiddo, it's too soon to try and re-write that history. Obama was awful even if what came after him was also awful.

 

You are wrong, sir. Obama never said they have to sit in the back of the bus. That clearly has racial overtones, as anyone with a modicum knowledge of US history knows. What Obama said was that the Republicans drove the car into the ditch regarding the economy, and that the Democrats brought it out, and that the Republicans could help with improving the economy, but that they would have to sit in the back seat- and it specifically referenced those Republicans putting special interests ahead of the American people.

But obviously Trump voters and supporters have zero interest in working across the aisle. We could've had a President with a proven record of doing this- and someone with an IQ bigger than their pants size- but a large number let their worst instincts take over.

 

Ah, so it's a car and not a bus, I guess that makes it better....the point is still the same. He never had any intention of compromising with anyone that disagreed with him. If you disagree, you sit in back and just be happy that you get to go along for the ride no matter what vehicle you were riding in. That was his tone from day 1 and that is garbage. Again, Trump is garbage too, so there's no need to point it out to try and make Obama seem better.

A president who actually reads the nuances of the opposing party's legislative bills is someone who doesn't want to compromise?

I implore you to watch this 1 and a half hour video and try to say your vapid rhetoric that has no logical or factual base supporting it.

 

I can't imagine Trump giving that speech. At all.

That wasn't even a speech. It was Obama going one on one hundred against the GOP legislature letting them ask ANY question.

Imagine Trump trying to take on 100 Democrat representatives and letting them asking any questions they please.
