http://www.espn.com/blog/nba/rumors...ores-aims-to-re-sign-kentavious-caldwell-pope Yep....Detroit wants him to stay. We'll see how negotiations go with Rich Paul.
To those interested in PJ Tucker http://www.espn.com/blog/nba/rumors...kers-trade-value-is-high-while-knights-is-low
Yeah, not that surprised, i can see a lot of contenders/pretenders having interest in Tucker, he's basically a great fit everywhere, can guard 3 positions, can shoot, plays hard...
I'd take Brandon Knight on this team as a backup PG but that contract is not worth it. Maybe if he was traded here, we renogotiate his contract so that only some of it was partially guaranteed.
Sacramento doesn't need or want Brewer. They play a half court offense (paint & 3) so what do they need with an older fastbreak specialist who can only do layup drills? We will need to give up pick to move Brewer. And maybe rights to Gentile too (Sac liked him).
For everyone who always drools over Boogie, this is the issue: Down 3, with 25 seconds to go..he argues a call rather getting back on defense. The guy just doesn't get it, despite his physical abilities
IF we need another backup guard/playmaker (as many have suggested): Still surprised neither Chalmers or Cole have been picked up by anyone. Wonder if the timeline on their injuries have blown out? As a backup guard, definitely worth a look if recovered. And is Nate Robinson seriously looking to return to the NBA? Hmmm
I watched the Clippers @ Kings game earlier in the season. It was unwatchable; Cousins did that the entire game. He has to have red carpet treatment or he will have a tantrum....kicking & biting included. IMO. Drama-Queen Tough Mugging to the Max Edited later: Mean Muggin
I think with players like Chalmers, Cole, Jarrett Jack...players that can be picked up without trades, they aren't going to be looked at until AFTER the trade deadline. Those players will be fall-back options. Trades first, and then buy-out candidates. Not just for the Rockets, but for much of league whose teams are fighting for the playoffs.
Guessing you're watching his once in a lifetime shooting performance right now. NBA executives are expecting hin to get 4/100+. Screw that
Two words: Mike D'Antoni WCS and Harrell have been equal coming into the season --> maybe someday talent. Both on aimlessly coached teams. Yes WCS looks bad; but Cousins is all world talent and can't grow there either. WCS more talented than most, fact. Will he ever produce? Would our first round pick and a euro stash be enough? New trade: McDaniels, our 1st, and euro stash For WCS
I would say you are correct. D'Antoni & John Lucas & Roy Rogers & Bzdelik-systems & instructions. According to Hollinger Team Statistics (ESPN). Last yr George Karl had the Kings as #1 in the NBA in Pace at 102.2. George Karl & Cousins clashed last yr, I'm guessing due to conflicting styles. This season the Kings are tied for 23/24 at 96.9 (Coach Joerger Memphis post up game). Divac enables Cousins & must have sided with him over Karl. I'm not saying George Karl is without errors. .................................mins.........FGM...........FGA..........FG%.........FT%........Rebs......Blk.......Pts....... Judging by game I saw Kings vs Clips. WCS is awkwardly playing next to Cousins. If given the chance I believe WCS could put up numbers similar to Capela.....at a taller height (7 footer). The role would be better defined. IMO
Uhh, Cousins produces. He produces something like 28/12/4/2. He just doesn't know how to WIN, because there is no one to teach him how to win. WCS is not like Harrell. He got 20 minutes on bottom of the league team last season. The team needs all the help it can gets. Now he gets on the floor for garbage minutes after a year of NBA experience and time to work on his game and 2nd training camp. Harrell went from garbage minutes to now playing rotation minutes for the 3rd or 4th best regular season team in the NBA. MDA can make WCS better than he currently is (which is garbage clean up player right now), but he can't magically make WCS better than Harrell/Capela. Sure for that deal, that's a crappy pick, I'd pick him 26th as a project. But you understand he was drafted #6 and shortly after he's being traded for pick #26. That's twenty spots. Think about that for a second. That's like us trading Harrell right now for like the 53rd pick in next year's draft. You are saying that Vlade Divac - a big man himself - and Dave Joerger are going to be ok trading their #6 pick for #26? Doesn't that smell a little fishy to you?
Trade for Nerlens Noel or Tyson Chandler Sign a backup PG (Mario Chalmers) Find a backup Wing somehow Sign Josh Smith for backup big insurance (just want him on the team because he's awesome)
Bogut, Chandler and Noel...i think all of them fits here. Noel would be great cause it would give us another potentially good/great asset in the long run (even though he's also the one who will eventually require some assets to be aquired in the first place), but we should also worry about chemistry if we trade for him cause one between him and Capela should obviously come off the bench (unless we trade Clint...but for who? i don't see the right target available as today), and i'm not sure how this can turn out. Chandler would probably be the best of the three as a lockeroom presence, but to me his contract is one year too long, if he does not agree to waive his last year (and i don't think he will) eh...i can't see Morey trading for him. Bogut would basically give us the same (with more passing and less ft%) but his contract is off the books this summer which would give us more flexibility so...maybe, he's the one we should eventually trade for...unless Morey is already set to go all in with Paul George next year and maybe Chandler waives his last year.
