I dont know, but I think we can get 7M cap space. With Brewer that was impossible.

Ummmmmmmm, we could easily get $7 mill of cap space AND a couple future seconds for Brewer and #28 if you're so worried about cap space.

Yes, my understanding is Harden lobbied for LA area guy Lou Williams. I eventually gave the trade an A- because
I felt it would improve the Rockets regular season record assuring a 3rd or 4th seed and a first round victory; but I
found it hard to believe it would help the Rockets win a 2nd round contest or further. I would have given the Rockets
an A or A+ if it was a big man or small forward like Wilson Chandler, Tucker or Gallo (some how).

I like Harden, but I'm against the Rockets appeasing him. LeBron brought in his guys the first go-around
    with the Cavs:
Eric Snow (04/05), Damon Jones (05/06), Larry Hughes (05/06)

trades: Delonte West (07/08), Wally Szczerbiak (07/08), Joe Smith (07/08), Ben Wallace (07/08)

I can't prove the previous but I recall reports LeBron asked for: Mo Williams (08/09) & trades for
Shaq O'Neal, Jamario Moon, Sebastian Telfair, Antwan Jamison (09/10).

Then LeBron took off to Miami in 2010.......Claiming the front office never brought him players.??

Many suspected he hand-picked most of those guys.

I like where you are going with in those two trades. I had no interest in a Jimmy Butler or PG13 trade
before the supposed spat after game 5 vs San Antonio.

Now I am open to trading Ariza. My main two targets would be PG13 or Butler.....no to Melo.

those trades aren't close to being realistic tho, they would get u laughed off the phone and your number blocked...especially the Jimmy Butler one

That's true. He did. And then after he got to Miami he tried to mutiny the team so they'd fire Spoelstra. Riley wasn't having it and wouldn't budge.

LeBron has probably cost himself two rings with all his meddling. Players are terrible GM's and coaches. They're simply too biased about their own talent. We're seeing this here with Harden. The difference between here and Miami though is ownership. Arison doesn't meddle in basketball operations. Riley is the boss and everybody knows it.

In Houston, Les is always meddling, giving in to James, getting us into bad transactions, empowering James at Morey's expense, just constantly meddling with basketball decisions and making it more difficult for us to win. While James increases in rock star mentality.

I know. It's so hard to trade a superstar because the team losing the superstar always feels like they don't get enough.
LeBron worked out a SnT with Miami & Cavs. Lead to Dan Gilbert writing the sour grapes good-bye letter.

Then there was Orlando trading D12 for players/picks with teams (one being Lakers).

Lakers losing D12 for nothing to Houston.

So how do you want to lose your star. I read an article yesterday in which "most" NBA executives think PG13
is signing with the Lakers next summer.

If you are going to dream.......dream big.

I know most people here like Rondo. I like his non guaranteed contract. Might free up enough
money to draw the interest of Ibaka. Bev/Harden/Butler/Ibaka/Capela. Lou W/Dekker on the bench.
Bring in Alejandro Gentile from over seas. Maybe??

Yes. I remember Melo taking the tour; but kept quite for an extended period of time. LeBron silent/mute.
All waiting for Bosh to go to Houston. Setting up D-Wade/Melo/LeBron in Miami.

Only problem was Bosh missed the memo. He wanted to re-sign with LeBron in Miami. It was awkward.
LeBron was playing that reading between the lines non sense......should have just told him.

And then Wade didn't like how much Bosh was getting the following summer.....and then left to the Bulls.

Such drama. Lol. Imagine what the landscape of the NBA would be like if Bosh came to Houston that year.

First, we should sign Alex Len, Alan Williams, and Nene back. That will solve our "bigs" problem, plus improve our inside scoring/rebounding and add another PF (Alan Williams) to the arsenal. Second, we should look to trade Ryan Anderson, Ariza and/or Capela (only if decided he can now play 30+ min/game) for an upgrade at PF and/or SF.

If you don't know who Alex Len or Alan Williams are, check the links below and see what they can do in 36 minutes.

Not really a trade but wish we had a way to sign Gallanari. That's guy who's game would elevate playing next to Jim. Health permitting of course

    Suns said "Really?"

"And Eric Bledsoe, PJ Tucker and let's add Devin Brooks, too!"

    Suns said "What?"

"But don't you want the Rockets to win, Go H-town and we can through Lu and Herrell & others into the mix to make the money match less - Dekkar, Bev, E.G. or Harden though"

    Sun said "Wow"

"Plus picks, too. But think I will keep Capela"

Suns said "How can I say no to that? I will set my franchise back 15 years so the Rockets can win championship".

    "Sign here"

    DM strikes again

Suns "But Tucker is not even on our team any more, DM"

DM "Okay we still do the trade without him"

    -----------
    Recap:
    Suns
S&T --> AL & AW plus trade EB & DB

    Rox
RA, TA, LW plus others & picks
    ------------

In short DM broke himself off in the Suns! & Rockets are the only team in the league that can play with Golden State

We are now stuck in mediocrity until James leaves to LA for nothing.

It's sad that Morey isn't allowed to do his job because Les is too loyal to star players.

I hope Les sees that stars don't bring fans too Rockets games anymore. I think attendance wasn't the great this season. Maybe Les will give in so we can flip Harden, rebuild with younger pieces and wait until Durant leaves GS.

    Reboot the window.

This team isn't one player away from competing with Golden State. Unless said player is Lebron James.

And to get him we would have to gut the team so your right --> it's not going to happen any time soon.

The only team close is Boston if and only if some of the Nets' picks matures quickly and mixes well with thier core.

If the top guys can't be had in free agency and we don't go the trade route, I would take a look at:

    -George Hill
    -Otto Porter Jr.
    -Andre Iguodala
    -PJ Tucker
    -Shaun Livingston
