If the Rockets could turn TJ into a 1st round pick (even if late) and at the same time get a seviceable vet front court player in Scola, they should do that.

    A simple trade idea

Jones and a pick for Kaminsky

I am high on Kaminsky and think he's gonna have a breakout year next season.

    Miami out: Winslow/Whiteside/Dragic/Anderson/Haslem/1st
    Miami in: Dwight/Ariza/Thornton/Robinson
Miami Outlook: They go all out for this year. Dwight and Ariza for their veteran core much better and makes them very very strong contenders imo. I think they would have no problem signing Dwight and Wade this off-season.

    Brooklyn out: Johnson/Hollis-Jefferson/Robinson
    Brooklyn in: Dragic/Anderson/Haslem
Brooklyn Outlook: Really they have no future and take a chance hoping drastic can thrive again running the show. They lose some expiring dollars but get a player that could play at an all star level again. Very much worth the risk considering their situation.

    Houston out: Dwight/Ariza/Thornton
    Houston in: Whiteside/Winslow/Hollis-Jefferson/Johnson/Mia1st
Houston Outlook: It's kind of a soft reset/rebuild where we become much younger and a core more around Hardens age. We also gain some assets and serious flexibility to go after a durant with full Max space and a young locked in roster for years. We would likely release jet for a roster spot and let him retire in Dallas.

    Thoughts?

With both PGs struggling in their new systems, could a Ty Lawson for Goran Dragic swap benefit both teams? Rockets would probably have to give up a pick too or Dekker.

Yeah. Well the Raptors fans seem to think that's a amazing idea. Too bad that Uijiri is a little fox. I think he will go after Markieff more than Jones.

Kaminsky is gonna be a good player, a starter. I think his team is pretty happy with him, and they have to pay Batum the max. And then Marvin Williams. Jones RFA status makes it worse than them..not to mention that Kaminsky probably will end up if is not better right now, than Jones.

Perhaps..interesting thought. Does the 13 million in cap allows them to sign both Wade and Whiteside?

This would be a great trade...

But I believe Ujiri is high on Markieff rather than Jones.

    Keep the picks the same.
    To Houston: Luis Scola/John Leuer
    To Toronto: Markieff Morris
To Phoenix: James Johnson/KJ McDaniels/Terrence Jones

so by now this is the list of the sellers :
Philly : Landry, perhaps Covington and Noel in bigger deals
    Lakers: Lou, Young, Bass, Hibbert
Phoenix : Teletovic, Tucker, Morris,Leuer (knight? in bigger deal)
Milwaukee: Bayless, Mayo, Vasquez (henson, monroe ,mcw in bigger deals)
Orlando : Frye ,Smith ,Fournier ( Payton, Harris , Oladipo in bigger deals)
    NO: Anderson, Tyreke , Gordon
Minnesota: Martin (Shabbaz, Dieng ,Bjelika in bigger deals)
Denver: Foye, Hickson (Gallinari, Faried in bigger deals)
Portland : Henderson, Kaman (Crabbe in bigger deal? )
Kings: Gay , Bellineli , (Mclemore, Collison , Koufos in bigger deals? )
Boston: Sullinger, Zeller, Lee, Young, Hunter (hunting for big deals)
NY: Calderon (KOQ, Lopez, Grant, Galloway? )
    BKN: all
    Chicago: Noah's expiring, Snell
    ...

Atlanta: Teague, Shroeder, Horford? and then Millsap?
Houston: Lawson, Brewer, Jones, almost everyone in bigger deal?
    Cavs: Mozgov
    Memphis: Lee

This is a very small and pathetic list of sellers. That's why there havent' been many trades.
And it's even possible that Kings, NY, and even No apart from Anderson dont' even sell. And ofc Atlanta.

    malakas,

Did you heard something about Monroe and MCW being avaible for trades?
Could MCW end up in Houston?

    Yes.
Lowe is buddybuddy with the FO and said yesterday they would sniff around for deals.
But they are obsessed with putting the players in good situations so at least Monroe will have to consent what team he's traded to (no hopeless lottery team, apart from maybe NO his home city).
And yes MCW should be available, judging by him losing his starting job for some time last month, cyber saying they are looking at Lawson, and that no other team in the top of the draft, except if Philly also gets Lakers pick, should pick a pg.
So Dunn or Murray next year. ;)

I dont' see him traded to Houston.

I haven't watched enough Milwaukee to fully judge, but to me it seems they need a sharpshooter at the point to compensate for Giannis and Parker, with Henson starting at center. Their depth is nice, at least on paper, and a lack of spacing appears to be the thing holding them back.

Yeah. I dont' think even he gets traded tbh. He's not bad as a backup.
No way Morrey goes after him. MCW should have been a defensive wing. Not a pg. He is great at defence.
Now it has been drilled in his head to lower his usage and some of his ballhandling and it's working and that's why I'm finally okay with him staying. Off the bench. He does have talent.

Ryan Anderson for Jones and Brewer

The more I think about this the more sense it makes.

Pelicans want to get something for Rhyno before he becomes a FA. The Rockets get their stretch 4 and cap flexibility by moving Brewers remaining contract. Pels get a young replacement in Jones.

From the Rockets perspective you've gained cap space and mucho flexibility for the offseason as you've got three big contracts able to come off the books in Lawson, Howard, and Rhyno. You also have Anderson for a playoff run to see if he fits in long term to resign.

NOP would never do that move, it makes no sense to lose him for such little value in return.

If Minny is in top 5 in the lottery, it makes sense to get either a pf or a pg. I think the better are Dunn and Murray in that range..right? If they get a pg they likely will trade Rubio.
