Isn't really a trade idea but I would seriously consider whatever we can do to get Pau Gasol. Trade Dwight for whatever assets we need. Sign Pau to a 2 year deal (max if necessary). Make a run for the championship.

Clippers dump their trouble-maker PF and DeAndre and receive a skilled C that would work well with their incoming all-star PF in Love. Cavs receive Dwight & DMo who can really help them push for that ring. Dwight would definitely re-sign there in the offseason if he's truly ring chasing. Bucks receive 3 good role players for their C that can easily be replaced with John Henson who can very well take Monroes job in the future. They also receive more shooting at the C position and on the wing which they're in dire need of. Pipe dreaaaammmsss

Some of y'all are all the way r****ded with these trades. We can't give up our 2 best defensive players for question marks on defense
Why not? Last year... sure, point taken. This year, those defensive players aren't helping in any way. In my view, losing them doesn't really hurt. We don't go on to be even worse defensively. I appreciate the argument that that exact thing could happen... but it appears to me that they're really bad defensively despite those players and if you trade Dwight out for joe schmo defender they're probably just the same bad. It's not an indictment on Dwight's defense or Ariza's defense, it is just a comment that everything they do well defensively, which was obvious last year, is in no way providing added value this year. Also, separately, my personal view is still that despite his slump, Capela can be our above average defensive center... AND that defense at the PF position is in a way a bellweather for this team, because in today's NBA there is so much switching and outside shooting and outside picking up, etc, you need to have that versatile big that can bang and board inside and switch and compete on the perimeter. This is where DMo helped last year, even though I wouldn't classify him as a great defender either down low or on the outside... he's more than competent in both areas so was versatile, and gave the Rockets a solid defense throughout the year despite Dwight missing so much time.
Dwight + Dmo for Bradley, Olynyk, and Lee Might be able to peel more out of Boston if they can avoid having to buy Lee out.
This idea showed up in yesterday's Basketball Insiders Q+A - beyond the "Cleveland won't do it" comments - thoughts? Cleveland: Dwight Howard D-Mo Jamal Crawford Houston: Blake Mosgov Clippers: Kevin Love Ariza
It's actually a fair trade for everyone and all parties should be pretty happy with the return. Griffin would be a great for next to harden. I'd honestly go small at that point and start blake/smith in the front court with bev/JH/Ariza. Very potent offense if You as me.
If Dwight is traded, I could see those picks being used to get Whiteside. Keeps the window open much longer.
That trade seems fair, but except from the Cavs never doing it, also the Clippers would never do it and trade Blake to another western conference ..not contender but lets say playoff team. And Might have to throw to the Rockets Varejao instead of Mozgov to make it more fair.
