With the dumpster fire in Phoenix, would the Suns be willing to give up Brandon Knight? He seems like a good fit next to Harden and it might be worth exploring. He would be a better fit than Lawson, for sure.

If we really want to shake things up, we could get Dwight involved in that trade and get back Tyson Chandler. Good rim protector and cheaper than Dwight. We could even ship away TJones and get Morris who's pretty much an upgrade at his peak play over Jones.

    We don't need Brandon Knight.

    We need defensive rebounding.

We also need SFs and PFs who can contribute anything to the team.

Coaching philosophy can also improve defensive rebounding. No reason we can't be a good defensive rebounding team considering we have a few big guys and hustle players.

Thibs should fix some of this at least.

The Tyson Chandler signing was a mistake of gigantic proportions. He has, what?, three or four more seasons left on the deal, and he's already in decline.

    Nope nope nope nope nope.....

But we're stuck with JBB for now, herding our flock of half-assers along, and we don't know who our next (real) coach will be, let alone will if it be Thibs.

I don't see the value you place in Jrue. Fact is NOP overpaid....that doesn't determine his value now. I could easily see them looking at their record and his contract, and deciding that it's time to try something else.

Jones is an RFA, so it's not as simple as its sounds to sign him.

Or they can trade other expiring or worse pieces like tyreke eric gordon or anderson that would make sense. But no lets trade jrue that they spent serious assets to get ( basically lighting them on fire for no good reason at all) to get jones? Who if they throw 15+ next summer chances are his team wont match anyway?. Or lawson with his no defence a.d his serious personal questions that has basically zero value?

I don't know what Lawson's value is right now, but he's looked much better recently and most of the dwi stuff has been cleared up. I would agree that his value isn't high right now, but I do think you could get something for him and NOP is one of the few teams that could be interested. Lawson/Davis would be fun to watch.

A decent player, but Avery Bradley would be a better fit along with great defense.

The Rockets would never trade Harden who's a lot better player than jimmy butler and I like jimmy butler but he's not a number one option. He goes ISO just as much as Harden and isn't nearly as good at it, watch a bulls game.

I have family in Chicago, they all were drilling butler all season before his 40 point half the other day.

The Bulls would trade butler for Harden in a heart beat. The Bulls roster would be Sick with a JH for JB swap they could contend against the cavs. Can't say the same for Houston we prob be worse because we would not have won any of those games harden bailed the team out with his 40+ point scoring early in the year

how come none of you guys were here wanting to trade Harden last year or the year before? The reason the team sucks right now is not all on him not matter how much you want to think that. Even Steph curry or lebron could not save this team with how incosistent all of our parts are besides dwight. Our Pf position is a big problem one of the worst in the league, I don't want to here the dmo crap anymore. Until he starts producing, I'm not going to believe he's the longterm answer because some of you like his unique post moves.

The rockets need to get Harden skilled players around him not all these athletes who like to run and fast break. Jones, Capela, brewer Bev? These guys are all getting a lot of playing time and can't make proper basketball plays on a consistent basis.

I like Capela but he's really hurting this team being the starter. We need a big upgrade at Pf and to a lesser degree sf then this team would take off. Until then if we do turn it around it will be JH and DH having monster games and hiding everyone else's weakness.

Wonder what it would take to get Gasol in a Rockets uniform? Bulls seem to have a logjam at PF. There's your consistency, defense, rebounding, hard playing, versatility and reliable inside scoring. Wouldn't make the team any younger, but he could go a long way toward changing the culture here.

Pau's defense, especially on the PnR, has been suspect this season, and he's whined his way out of that team by refusing to start the game from the bench. I'm not sure he's our guy.

I have watched the Bulls this year and last year... I have to totally disagree with you .

The bulls would be in serious trouble.. Their defense would go down 2 more notches... Butler is already complaining about no intensity from the players and stating how the coach needs to do a better job of making the team accountable for their bad play.

Putting Butler on this team would bring us up a notch... Defense wins games... The Spurs leading scorer is Leonard with about 20 ppg... That means the ball is being shared... Just because you have a guy that is scoring 30 or 40 points does not mean your team will be great...

I suspect Pau is making his way to Memphis to finish out his career with a season or two with his brother.

Harden is a lazy self centered egomaniac who has no desire to work on his game... he's all about partying and living the superstar lifestyle now... the dude DGAF!
I had high hopes for the dude. He fooled me - I'll admit it... I thought he had heart - turns out he's just another Royce White - with a longer more lucrative endgame...
Harden is fool's gold! A true cornerstone makes the other players around him better - harden has the complete opposite affect!
I wouldn't be ragging if the guy was struggling or going through a shooting slump or something - but this dude is a lazy bum!
I know you won't believe what I'm saying... but you will - eventually...

Sidenote, Capella probably has the best +/- on the team...

You do realize their defense is actually giving up the same amount of points they did last year. There problem is they can't score besides lately.

Pau gasol and others were complaining just a week ago about how butler needed to be a better leader off the court and get his teammates more involved.

Defense does win games I agree but a team with harden playing defense is better than a team with jimmy playing defense.

We've seen what a team with JH playing defense looks like and they won the 4th Most games in the league last year.

Butler is a nice player who has developed more than anyone would have thought I admit that but imo a team with the right pieces around JH is a lot stronger than a team with the right players around butler.

The Bulls have a lot of talent and high IQ players on their team I wish JH had guys like that around him here in Houston.

I mean I'd take almsot any rotaion player they have over ours outside of JH and DH. The Bulls are better than us at every position. They got very good role players in Doug McDermott, mirtic, portis, Gibson, Noah, brooks, Heinrich. I mean really T_man there team is just better than ours from top to bottom and im not even including Pau gasol and Derick rose. (Rose is pretty bad I admit)
