Actually it might... Not sure on the specifics, but something like this would be great.

    Rockets in: Stauskas, Collison

    Kings in: #18, Jones, Papanikolaou

we wouldn't need to give up #18, i saw this long ago.

insurance in case bev leaves and llull doesn't come over. then we pursue greivis.

    Collison/Vasquez
    Harden/Stauskus
    Ariza/Brewer
    Dmo/Smith
    Dwight/Capela

also read the rockets trying to get to pick 25 or 26. send nick johnson and 32 for either pick, and use 18 and 25 on guys like Justin Anderson and RHJ. those guys give you insurance on brewer leaving and provide rest for ariza granted mchale plays either

What makes you think that? Stauskas was the #8 pick last year, and Collison has more value than Jones. I don't see any situation where we don't have to include it.

My gut tells me the Kings pursue rondo. Papanikalou is their cap relief. Jones has more value than you're crediting him for.

I think Jones has good value, but I also think Collison does. He averaged 16 ppg and 6 apg, and he only makes $5M a year. I think you're undervaluing Stauskas a bit. He probably won't be a very good player, but he's still one year removed from being picked #8. Then again, it depends on how much Sacramento wants cap relief.

Man how funny would it be for we got Lamb back from OKC for peanuts? That would just add salt to the wound.

    Three team trade:
    Cousins and Gallinari to Houston
    Howard and Lawson to Sacramento
Gay and Ariza and filler from both team (including #6) to Denver

People really seem to be underselling Jones. Out of the 2012 draft, Jones is 7th in Win Shares and 3rd in WS per 48 minutes. As a player who was drafted 18th overall, that's not bad. Obviously, many teams would prefer the potentail upside of picks, but Jones has been better than his draft position. A team drafting in the 20 range who needs offense at PF could do much worse than trading for Jones.

he's a 6'10 forward with athleticism and shot blocking potential. he's been put in an offense that basically has him screening and looking to shoot 3s which isn't in his comfort zone. he's gonna get better, i just don't know that we can wait for him to get better with where we are as a franchise

Hasn't Lamb been a huge disappointment? Why would anyone want him?

Kings seem to really want Rondo at any means.
