Do you REALLY think that they would consider trading a 22 year old who hasn't hit his prime at all and was their first overall pick in the draft for Jeremy Lin, a first rounder, and then 2 of our scrub bench players?

Like...do you REALLY think that's logical?

even if they wanted these trades, you can't trade your pick, much less two in row.

    true, and +1

Love's contract is up IF/when he walks THEN RA's system will go on.
White's skill-set in that system

Wish we could somehow get Gary Neal from the Spurs...

I was over in Spurstalk and came across this trade suggestion.

Personally, I'm not big on DeJuan Blair because he's a 6'7" PF but he's effective enough I guess. Gary Neal will instantly solve our backup PG problem. It's also funny how they think Patterson is physical in the post.

I would love to see this happen. And can see this happening if Morris keeps stepping up and TJones gets more time.

How about Jeremy Lin for Eric Gordon?

Yeah yeah...the injury concern and doesn't he play the same position as Harden?

Regarding the injury concern, he did try out for team USA over the summer on his supposed bad knee and by all reports looked fine during tryouts. Whether he is legitimately hurt right now seems to be up for debate. He does have a history though, but he is also 23 years old which is right in line with the rest of our guys.

Regarding his position on the court, we seem to play a point guard by committee anyhow. Anyone from Chandler Parsons to Delfino bring the ball up the court, with Harden being the main distributor. So, why not have Eric Gordon who can slash better, shoot better, and defend better than Jeremy.

NO would get to fill up the seats plus add a prospect from us, maybe morris and/or aldrich?

    Just a thought.

Chuch, try to at least put trade that actually can be done first. Lin can't trade until December 15 and salary do not Match.

    Houston In: J.J. Redick
Houston Out: Marcus Morris,2nd Rd Pick
Houston Outlook: we prematurely give up on a prospect but we open up time for our logjam of PFs... but mostly we gain a 6+mill expiring contract and a deadly 2pt shooter which this team lacks, as well as a legit back-up 2, letting delfino stay at the 3...

    Orlando Out: J.J. Redick
Orlando In: Sebastian Telfair, Lottery Protected Phoenix 1st Rd Pick
Orlando Outlook: they trade a valueable role player for a future draft pick and a backup PG which they are in desperate need of... they also "inadvertently" help them tank a few more games...

Phoenix Out: Sebastian Telfair, Lottery Protected 1st Rd Pick
Phoenix In: Marcus Morris, Houston 2nd Rd Pick
Phoenix Outlook: they ship out a relative nobody in telfair while gaining a prospect with dreams of re-igniting the kansas front-court and a nice marketing scheme... they also swap protected 1st for a 2nd rd pick...

the reason i like this is because no matter how much you want to we aren't gonna tank and jj would really fix two needs this team lack, and thats 3pt shooting and backup SG... not to mention its a morey-esque type addition seeing as this trade adds flexibility and more cap space and expirings moving forward... it could be the type of addition thats pushes us from the dreaded 14th pick to possibly the 15th... also it would open up minutes for t.jones to play and develop as a backup behind 2pats... as much as people wanna avoid making the team better in order to have a better pick, id rather reach the playoffs... the experience this young team would gain would be excellent, not to mention it would look good around the league as players would see the youngest team in the league make the playoffs, thus making the prospect of playing here higher...

    Thoughts?

I don't see Wall too much, but he seemed reckless when I've seen him. Lin is probably the better player now and isn't too much older regardless of Wall going number 1 overall. Wall could become the better player. He still has time to become better. Lin still has time to get better, too, and has less NBA experience.

Wall has a higher upside, but Lin is already pretty good. I don't think the trade is likely from both sides liking their players.
