Luis Scola+Chase Budinger+Jordan Hill 3M for Paul George and filler.

Kevin Martin for Omer Asik+Charlotte pick+filler.

    Asik/Thabeet
    Patterson/Hayes
    Paul George/Marcus Morris
    Courtney Lee/Terrence Williams
    Kyle Lowry/Goran Dragic/Johnny Flynn.

That team would put us in the lottery but could begin to grow around a lot of guys in the lineup with Lowry the old man.

We end up with 3 first round picks in this next draft.

That Charlotte pick could be gold but I couldn't stomach losing Martin.

Charlotte pick is protected, Knicks pick might be in the 20's if they do land Paul soon. Paul George could be good but the Rockets didnt move up four spot to get him. I would do it if the Pacers gave us their number 1 this year!!!

A simple Scola for Posey/George swap might actually make sense.

We can offer Chuck a heavy one year deal with our cap room, with the idea that he would accept a minimum deal the following offseason.

Next summer, we could let Thabeet, Flynn, Hill, Twill and Dragic walk (or move them at the deadline for future picks) while picking up options on Patterson, Bud and Lee.

    That leaves us with:

    Lowry /
    Martin / Lee
    George / Bud / Morris
    Patterson / D-Mo
    Hayes /

with 27 million in cap room. That might be enough to entice both Paul and Howard to come here. We would still have our amnesty (on Lowry?) if they were absolutely insistent on more money.

I like this thought process a lot. Martin can probably get asik. Many thought Lee could get asik, but lee isn't viewed in the same light talent wise as asik. I also like the direction in which the team via trade is headed.

HOU - They get their man in Iggy to complement Martin for one of the best wing duos. Blatche has his issues but a change of scenery to a more disciplined organization with better infrastructure and veterans could help his development. He is also a PF/C in the mold of Nene (without the efficiency) on a much better contract than what they would have to offer for the big men of this F.A.

PHI - Fully commit to the youth movement and get out of 2 over inflated contracts. They get back a better fit in Budinger (on one of the best bang-for-buck contracts) and Williams who is a poor-man's Iggy. Add to that the value of moving Nocioni's contract and a heavily protected pick from Wizards. Thabeet is a filler to make the contracts work.

WASH - McGee/Scola/Vesley/Young/Wall. Have to take on Nocioni for a couple years which is bummer. The 1st they will send out could be heavily protected first few years and decrease gradually.

I like the idea of Martin for Asik as well. Allows Budinger to be moved to SG. The Rockets become better rebounding at the 5, 3, and the 2. Better defensively at the 5 and 2. Lose some FT attempts and overall efficiency at the 2.

Kinda sounds weird at the beginning but let me explain...
    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=78ejqsa

Rockets get Horford and Jamison, Cleveland unprotected first and atlantas first

Atlanta get Scola, Gibson, Hill and New York 2012 first

    Cleveland gets Martin, Josh Smith

Cleveland gets two 20point scorers and gets rid of Jameson contract
Atlanta gets Scola, and cap space
Houston gets the center they always wanted, an expiring in Jameson, close to 30million in cap space for 2012, and possibly 2 lottery picks in this years draft.

Ik that's extremely unrealistic, but since when has Scola been "complete trash"?

I dont understand how Alt is giving picks to begin with. Horford alone is worth RECEIVING and NOT GIVING picks in this trade. Nor trading picks as you got it.

Horford just got a new contract, he aint going no where

Lose a lot of efficiency and a lot of ft'.

There is no defense loss or gain moving Chase to the two unless your talking about giving Lee the starter position which I think is better.
