That doesnt make sense for Pacers though. Either they go young or vet.

Young: Granger for Patpat and young fillers
Vet: P. George (and fillers) for Scola

if they was interested in your deal, hell yeah but sorry.

I like this one and it benefits all teams. Aldelman loves K-mart, Scola's a good fit in Atl with Webester possibly being their Crawford off the bench. Nice Trade.

I thought so too. with crawford leaving to either NY or MIA, Webster could fill that potential void. Pachuilla is a big that can play in Adelmans system and the rockets actually tried getting him over RA tenure here, of course we know K.Mart is RA's guy. rockets get another lure piece in their quest to land D.howard in Smith his homie. along with another asset thats actually worth something and a center. Atl frees up alot of salary cap adds a 20/10 guy and between us and minni we can throw in cash and picks to satisfy them for sure.

    Lowry/Dragic
    Lee/T.Will
    W.Johnson/Bud/M.Morris
    J.smith/PatPat
    Pekovic/hayes/D-Mo?

and we still have Bud,Flynn,Thabeet,T.Will,J.Hill expiring deals.our two 2012 first rounders(ours and NY), two 2013 first rounders (ours and memphis) and close to 10 million in trade exceptions as assets to possibly trade for better sg/sf guy like granger. or possibly a Roy if he is an amnesty guy. and in the summer call Howard and say you have Lowry, Lee, Granger/Johnson, Smith and you. thats a solid contender

I would also like to note a team of
    Lowry/Dragic
    Lee/T.Will
    W.Johnson/Bud/M.Morris
    J.smith/PatPat
    Pekovic/hayes/D-Mo?
has a payroll of 46 million leaving us with 24 million to spend before hitting the cap. Im sure with this roster and moreys money management we can sign a max guy like Howard and possibly another near max guy.

I disagree. Marcus Morris is not going to help you sell tickets in a measurable amount just because he is from the area.

Carter will be a free agent after Phoenix (or any team that trades for him) waives him. Only $4M of his bloated salary is guaranteed for this season, so it's a strong bet that he will be playing under a new contract this coming season.

I have made a 'bet' VC ends up in the Toy Shop (as an amnesty cut) as DM the GM supposedly has long wanted him (or might it be the owner's jones?).

Not to take anything away from Bima but there is no way this would happen. Brook Lopez and a first round pick to me would be more enticing (which Im sure the Nets would be willing to offer) than the collection of players Bima proposes we send to them.

Nice package in DM's eyes just not as good as what other teams would be willing to throw at Orlando for the best Center in the league.

I disagree with your disagreement, think of DeAndre Jordan in a Rockets uniform. Even if all those extra tickets are purchased by himself for family and friends, there'd be an increase in ticket sales.

Think of all the Aggies such as myself who'd love to see one of our own playing professional basketball in the city of Houston. ;)

    Scola + morris for Iguodala

morris is hometown, and scola could b the go to scorer theyve been looking for.

would only do the deal if an extension is agreed upon. but this would put Bud back in the second unit where he belongs with the uptempo dragic and lee.

would b ideal if we could then go after Nene. this would let us put hayes in the starting unit at the 4. and we would have someone who could actually guard and shut down legit 3's. Courtney Lee cant defend the big athletic 3's. we could have one of the best defensive teams in the league.

    Lowry/dragic/flynn
    Martin/Lee
    Iguodala/Bud/Morris
    Hayes/Patterson/Morris
    Nene/Hill/Thabeet

sounds pretty promising to me :)

Why amnesty cut Carter when you can just waive him for "just" $4M and save the amnesty for someone else like Josh Childress (whose annual salary is greater than this amount)?

Vince will just be a regular old waived player. No amnesty necessary.

You're probably right. Even if Morey was willing to also part with Patterson and Morris, it's quite possible that other teams could beat his offer (although the Rockets can probably offer the greater QUANTITY of potential prospects, if not the best quality of any individual player).

Hence, all the more reason to take a shot at Nene this year. Dismissing chances to sign near All-Star caliber centers on the off chance of signing a superstar later, no matter how small that chance, is not necessarily the smartest strategy.

Now, if Nene says "No-no" (yes, I just made that pun), then all bets are off.

But I suppose you've got to at least take a shot at Nene.

How we can take advantage of the new CBA

    N.O. needs to trim payroll.

Paul for Lowry, Lee, Patterson, Thabeet and NY draft pick

Hornets amnesty Okafor and we "wink wink" bid high (say $10 mil) so that N.O. is only paying for $2mil of his salary. This is the key point of this trade.

N.O. has a bunch of young players and a low salary commitment to restart. They can sell the team at the end of the year with their own high draft pick and no long term or older players to pay.

Hou gets their 1st superstar player to build around.

problem is NO doesnt need to shed payroll, they need to sell tickets. Yes trading paul could save them money this year but the NBA is trying to inflate there ticket sells numbers so that they can find a new owner. Remember the league owns them right now. If Paul does get traded it will be near the trade dealline and he will ask formally for a trade. Cause when he is gone NO will be the next Timberwolves..

Alright, lets take a stab at this

    Houston in: Iguoldala, Omer Asik
    Houston out: Scola, Hill

    Sixers in: Boozer
    Sixers out: Iggy

    Bulls in: Scola, Hill
    Bulls out: Boozer, Asik

    Houston 2011-2012:

    PG: Lowry/Dragic/Flynn
    SG: Martin/Lee
    SF: Iggy/Bud
    PF: Hayes/Patterson
    C: Asik/Hayes

Bulls, in my mind, are losing this deal and would probably have to be compensated otherwise. maybe it has to be Lee vs. Hill in this deal.

With this deal, the sixers could then amnest Brand's contract.

    Thoughts?

sixers would roll over and die.
why would they amnesty brand just to get a similar offensive but worse defensive player who is oft injured?
in essence you are paying brand's massive salary (minus the bidding war) to pay a longer commitment in Boozer.
The price for having this "privilege" is to trade Iggy?
    sorry no dice.
bulls would not do this either.

Why would the Rockets want more Aggie fans defiling the Toyota Center?
