Your right guys, I went a little crazy. How about this. Rockets get: paul and okafor hornets get: Battier jefferies Hill Brooks Lowry possible pick. (this is playoff rotation) Starters: pf - scola (29mpg) sf - ariza (35mpg) c - yao (35mpg) sg - martin (37mpg) pg - paul (40mpg) bench: pg/sg - budinger (18mpg) sf/pf - patterson (18mpg) pf/c - okafor (28mpg)
Man, will everyone please STFU already about all these Chris Paul trade ideas. He's not coming to Houston, so get over it. We dont need an upgrade at the PG position. If anything, we need a slasher and finisher like Iguodala and we wouldn't have to give up as much to get him. Chris Paul is good and all, but he's not someone that will lead us to an NBA championship. The guy hasn't dont crap in New Orleans and he probably never will unless he's playing next to 2 more super stars
Yes please let's upgrade the position we are deficient in not the one's we are improving at, how hard is that to understand, geez.
CP3 will not come to Houston!!! Morey should try and am sure he will but once NO or Paul says "thanks, but no thanks", we move on and try to get someone like Iggy, Granger, or Rubio (ya that's right, Ricky Rubio)
why would the rockets have to give up that much taking on Okafor's monstrosity of a contract. Shouldn't it be subtracting value in a trade in doing that? Brooks, a pick or two and an expiring seems like more than enough.
And if we let Brooks walk in free agency next year, we're left with no one. Ultimately I do think the Rockets see Llull as an answer at point, perhaps behind Lowry for a bit. But if we trade Brooks for Nash now, we could have Llull stay there an extra year and come only when he is absolutely at his peak in 2012. He's on the Stacked Spanish Natl Team competing in the world championships this year. Ya'll should take a look at him. If he gets any playing time that is. What a sick team, Ricky Rubio, Jose Calderon, JC Navarro, Rudy Fernandez, Garbajosa, Victor Claver, Marc Gasol, Llull, I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. If Llull can earn PT out of that group you know he's legit.
well right now, rep wise, he's Ron Artest. Shot selection kinda spotty. what would 2 bars be? Rafer Alston. the guy that hung around to long...
A point of clarification: Scola and Lowry were just signed so they can't be traded until after Dec. 15th. Since we matched Lowry's off sheet he can't be traded for one year unless he agrees to the deal. Carry on.
Please explain? Granger has not said he wants out and he is indiana's franchise player so how is he more realistic? With Scola now on the books for a pretty large amount I don't think the Rockets want to take on Okafor's contract. In all honesty I think are best target is Andre Iguodala. He is much more available than Granger and we would not have to give up as much to get him plus he fills a position that is more needed of an upgrade than Okafor.
