Thats a really good trade for both sides. I really think there's too much potential C.Frye. Also Outlaw is very good scorer. I dont know why but I just dont want to let Shane go

They want a 3rd guard that is cheap and can be got rid of easily after Harris is back. Luther suits that need well.

tmac and alston for lowry 92% freethrow shooter and a 50% three point though i dont know how many he has taken, rudy gay=young tmac, and darko a 7 foot shot blocker and defender i used to watch him all the time in orlando.the only problem is i dont think the grizzlies would do the deal but a great trade IMO. Flame me if u want its just an opinion

I assume this was for comic relief. A Shaq and Yao frontcourt is a funny thought.

Uhh, the guy is 7 feet tall and has exactly 3 double-digit rebound games in his career. Scola has 18 and he's barely been here a year.

    Bargnani is not the answer.

nope, right now Amare Stoudemire is playing way better than yao.
But, shaq and yao would be funny on the saem team two 7ft tall gaint :).

You're right. I did overrate his rebounding big time. I thought he was better than that. He does block shots well but there is no excuse for having such poor defensive rebounding numbers given the minutes he's played. It may improve in a different system but the evidence does point to him being soft on the boards.

We need frontcourt length but whatever move we make, the dude has to be able to rebound. I agree, Bargnani is not the answer.

I'm all for rescuing David Lee from the basketball purgatory known as the New York Knicks. A taller, better version of Chuck Hayes that can make lay ups? He wouldn't solve all of our problems but if he's available it's hard not to make a play for him.

Bargnani: Depends on what we would give up. We have no first-round pick to offer this year and you're not allowed to trade picks in back-to-back years. Who outside of last year's rookies would interest Toronto? Luther Head? Give me a break. Giving your 6'3" spot-up shooter with no handle or basketball IQ limited minutes isn't exactly the best way to entice a team to give up on a 23-year-old former #1 overall pick.

Aaron Gray: I love this guy to death. Avid fan of him in college and know him personally. I like him....but would I want him on the Rockets? ONLY as a 12th man. No athleticism, no upside, not a physical presence around the basket. He's a coaches dream (hustle, intangibles, coachable, high basketball IQ) but him entering our rotation would do little to upgrade our frontcourt, IMO.

Travis Outlaw: I'm sure we could have him for Batter -- the question is do we really want to do that? Outlaw had a breakout season last year but i've been hyping him up since 2005. His combination of size, range, athleticism, youth, upside and versatility is what the "new NBA" is all about.

A Battier-for-Outlaw swap would also be incredibly ironic considering Outlaw plays the same way and has many of the same strengths/weaknesses as Rudy Gay.

Would I do this deal? Not right now. I was one of those guys hyping up the Hornets acquisition of James Posey since every really good team has a player like Posey. Whether it's Bruce Bowen, Tayshaun Prince, Posey or whoever. Those championship role players bring the exact same things to the table that Battier goes. Battier can be "that guy". I want to see how this team looks once we get settled first before I consider any tweaks.

Crawford can pick up plenty of pt at the 1 if size is a problem. The guy can score - consistantly. And Nate >>> Rafer size or no size.

Eddie is not useless IMO. He may not fit the motion offense, but practicing it should get him in shape. A big body that hits a high % and should be the starter once in shape. And he doesn't get pushed around in the paint.

Where did I say that Kaman was better than Yao? Kaman would be a good backup or temp starter (until Curry gets in shape) and he is a better rebounder than Yao. Sure we may lose some in the C dept from the lose of Yao and replacing them with Curry and Kaman may hurt some, but I feel we more than make up for it with Crawford and Nate.

Bottom line - I'd rather have Crawford, Nate, Curry and Kaman on my team instead of Yao (good but possibly on the decline - or at least not a good fit for the system), Rafer (nuff said), Head (nuff said), Francis (nuff said), Joey (? - technically he's not necessary or could go to NY instead) - so basically a declining Yao and trash. Utah doesn't have 3 stars or even 2 but they have better overall around that put up 10-20 pts a night - consistantly.

But alas, Zeke is gone and this will never happen - I did tweak it below but NY is still getting robbed - though they are unloading Curry and gaining a seat seller I doubt the NY GM would sign off on it - the owner might - but I doubt the GM would. Also we'd pick up an addition 4 mill in salary so that is another con for our side. But when Tracy goes down or wants to take a night off, we still have a SG that can light it up. And a pg that is younger and better than Rafer. And (2) 7 footers that can play not 1 center and some undersized pfs playing center.

Oh and I will say you need to take off the homer glasses.

This may be one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen.

I know I'm not supposed to say things like this, but come on.

People are bashing Yao left and right. Where is the belief?

    Give him time.

P.S. Eddy Curry? Chris Kaman? Talk about players with low BBIQ.

We get sheed who can be our starting center, przybilla can back him up, hamilton replaces tmac (and rip can score, good for adelman's offense), and another future point guard in sergio rodriguez, then sign mutombo.

    Alston/Brooks/Rodriguez
    Hamilton/Barry/Wafer
    Artest/Battier/Francis(???)
    Scola/Landry/Hayes
    Wallace/Przybilla/Mutombo

Theres the 15-man roster (i would dump francis though)

Let me know what you guys think! :)
