What's more, Love can't be traded for another five weeks. God knows what the Rockets' record would be by then if other moves weren't made.
Cavs are very successful in term of acquiring future picks. Trade oldest man Korver for 2 picks trade huge overpaid Hill for 2 picks Going to demand 2 picks for unloading JR Smith cancer contract, likely First Round.
Really like Gordon starting. Need to build bench with shot creator/shooter and big with bulk and range. Augustin and Vucevic for Knight/filler/first and second rounders?
Bleacher Report today has the suggested trade of: MCW/ B Knight / 1st/ 2nd x Simmons/Ross I wouldn’t mind this trade if it actually works numbers-wise Edited: would work if Melo was included. https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/7143368
We'd have to sweeten the deal by adding a couple of picks but this gives all teams involved more pros than cons Washington removes Porter's contract from their payroll. Sacramento gets Porter, Knight and a 1st from us for their troubles We get back three serviceable role players for much needed depth. Capela/Koufos Tucker/Morris Harden/Ennis Gordon/Green Paul/Satoransky
Gordon/Capela/Melo/Chriss/Nene for Barnes/DJ/minimums Better yet....Gordon/Capela/Melo/Chriss for Barnes/McLemore/DeMarre and a #1 pick.
I know the Clippers are doing very well (for now), but given their plans to try to sign two max FA’s this summer, does this mean Gallo or Bradley are expendable? Apart from those two and Lou Will, most of their contracts are in the final year.
Darren Collison and Cory Joseph are in the trading block. Nene/Chriss/pick for Joseph via third team.
Clippers are only 2 games bound to the 8th seed. They plan to improve the rosters like Kings, Spurs and Jazz. What is your trade idea?
Your obsession to get rid of Capela......just wow. I'm not saying he's the end-all be-all. But this is really an obsession. And Dallas is playing well. I don't see them messing with that, especially with their I-45 counterpart.
It's not an obsession. He's the 3rd largerst contract. Obvious trade candidate. Signed to a value deal. And trade value real high according to everybody I talk to.
I don’t have a specific idea. I’m just asking a general question about what their goals are for this current season given that they plan on pursuing two max free agents this summer. They probably can’t do that with Gallo and other multi-year players on the books. I’d imagine they value the possibility of landing KD and Kawhi this summer over getting a 4-6 seed and a second round playoff exit.
Rockets get: Marvin Williams (6'9" starting PF) Michael Kidd Gilchrist (6'7" defender) JR Smith (6'6" sixth man) Devonte Graham (mentored by CP3) [Benefits: Opponents are shooting 46% against Marvin; Opponents are shooting 42% against MKG; Opponents are shooting 47% against JR. Now, we have serious wing depth like last season for defensive switching. Devonte Graham would be a nice, young backup PG that has a training history with CP3.] Hornets get: Eric Gordon (their starting SG) Carmelo Anthony (Jordan brand) Rodney Hood (shooter off bench) Zhou Qi (China) [Benefits: Hornets now get the shooting guard they so badly needed to pair with Kemba. Gordon can have fun now as a starter. Hornets get their wish to now open a permanent starting spot for Miles Bridges, who is their future. Hood would be a nice bench player. They save about $8 mil in cap space. They get a new Chinese fan base with Qi. And finally, Melo can go home to Jordan.] Cavs get: Brandon Knight Marquese Chriss (expiring) Michael Carter Williams (expiring) Rockets first round pick (protected) Rockets second round pick Hornets second round pick [Benefits: Cavs get rid of unhappy JR. Cavs get 3 draft picks for helping facilitate trade.] Rockets roll with... Starters Paul Harden Tucker (6'6") Marvin Williams (6'9") Capela Bench Michael Kidd Gilchrist (6'7") JR Smith (6'6") (former 6th MotY) Green (6'7") Ennis (6'7") Nene/Hartenstein Graham Clark (6'8")/House (6'7") Now, we've replaced Ariza and Luc. Rebounding should also be A LOT better.
Anyone notice Gordon Hayward has sat out for Boston the past couple of games, right when he was looking like he was finally back to form after the injury? What's that all about? Dec. 15 trade in the works?
