I think so if it only costs you Chriss/Nene/MCW and a second .... or mayyyyyybe a future protected first
I doubt the Rockets are willing to part with enough to make a Hayward deal work. To trade for all 3 of those players would take like 10 first round picks.
Knight for James Johnson works. I’m sure other parts would need to be involved, but you at least have a scenario where both team’s goals are being addressed. Miami wants to cut salary. BK’s deal is a year shorter. We need a Tucker insurance. There’s really nobody on our roster that can replace him and we’re running him into the ground.
Kosta Koufos (Expiring 8.7) Ben McLemore (Expiring 5.46) for Brandon Knight Future 2nd Round Pick Future 2nd Round Pick Swap (If thats what needed to get the job done) Sacramento has by far the most cap space next offseason and would likely take on short term salary for future assets I know it doesnt help us on the floor much. But that would give us trade chips of: 22 million in expiring contracts (Koufos, McLemore, Chriss, MCW, Melo, Zhou Xi) Eric Gordon Nene (salary filler)
The following 9 players could be available. “Scary” Terry Rozier Frank “The Tank” Kaminsky Trey Lyles Milos Teodosic President Malcolm Brogdon Willie Cauley-Stein Delon Wright Kelly Oubre Justin Holiday
Love love love what James offers to our team - toughness, playmaking ability, and defensive grit. MIA - In: Chriss, Melo, MCW Out: James Johnson, MIA 2nd SAC - In: Knight, Qi, HOU 2nd, MIA 2nd Out: Shumpert HOU - In: Johnson, Shumpert Out: Chriss, Melo, MCW, Knight, Qi, HOU 2nd MIA ducks below the tax and severely lowers their future salary obligations SAC gets a few picks and takes a flier on Qi for taking on Knight's deal HOU gets two rotation pieces to help get us out of the sunken palce This deal works from a CBA perspective, but I wonder if Tillman is willing to pay the additional tax that would come from it. If he is hesitant, we could replace Shump with McLemore and Labissiere from SAC
Block Buster (that will never happen) both teams need a change and are under preforming Funding works both teams get a plus rating on the trade machine Wall, Beal & Morris ...for... Paul, Knight & Chriss Functional bad contracts swap with expiring 4/5’s. Rox move Harden to the 3 => better TEAM Wall / Beal / Harden / Tucker / Capela Pick up a g league 3rd string 3&D point guard (eat minuets in blowouts) and the rotation works it’s self out. Gordon / Morris / Ennis / Nene & the youth (coach isn’t playing a big rotation but the players are there). Core of Harden, Wall, Beal & Capela locked in for 4 years. Wiz get the best player => tank to Zion (let Paul heal & leadership in the East). DM, please make the call the worst that can be said is no.
Not a bad idea. Addendum: I didn't realize that he went scoreless in his last 2 games though. Considering our anemic scoring, I would pass up.
NY will want a first and besides, he’s unplayable for the same reasons our current 6’6” PG is unplayable.
