I'm sure we've all lived on Ramen Noodles in the past -- I really love them, actually. Ando made an enormous contribution to the world. I especially love his line "peace will come to the world when the people have enough to eat." Found this on Slashdot. They have some interesting comments over there -- worth checking out.
Ten cents!!!!!????? They're eight here and the Sam's Choice versions are only six. R.I.P. Ramen noodles own, especially when you're broke.
Momofuku. Twas the best name ever. I thank ye for it would've been impossible to get through all those years without Ramen noodles. Rest in peace.
Almost all of the sodium is in the soup mix. If you don't drink too much of it, you won't be consuming very much sodium at all.
sigh... rip, bro. shrimp flavor was my favorite flavor. drain, mix in velveeta cheese, and bacon bits. voila! instant goodness (dorm room fav back in the day).
can you survive off of eating just ramen? or do you die after like a week because there are no real nutrients. just wondering because i dont exactly eat healthy anyways.
OMG. I'm buying some BEEF and PORK flavored Ramen Noodles tomorow in honor of him....and my broken budget.
RIP...I can't remember, but I thought there was a movie about the Noodles coming...Not centered around it, but close...
Two things: If you live in Houston, go to Viet Hoa (or Hong Kong Market) and get some of the less "Americanized" ramen noodles--they have whole isles dedicated to different brands. If the Nissan brand is worth eight cents a package, surely some of these other ones are worth two bucks or more a package. Flipping awesome! Grab some BBQ pork and have the guy slice it for you as well--goes great in the soup. If you are in NYC, or just visiting.....make sure you visit Momofuku--quite possibly the best meal I've ever had in NYC, and supposedly, a place where all of the local chef's go to eat. It's a noodle bar.......and I simply can't describe how wonderful it is. You'll have to wait for a table, but it is worth it. Thanks to Clutchcit.....errrr Clutchfans.net for helping me realize where the restaurant got it's name.
