I just heard Kurt Rambis in an interview. Any idea what that might mean? I hope we as a group can execute, play smart, play hard not matter what they throw at us.
It's just adding farmar into the PG position instead of Fisher and taking Bynum out and starting Powell or Odom. That's what I'm thinking.
Start Farmar. Start Odom. Put Kobe on Artest. I doubt Kobe on Brooks, he may help but he won't be on him man to man. I wish RA would throw a wrinkle into his lineup to counter them trying to take Scola and Brooks out of the game early. I doubt they are going to allow Scola to take that elbow jumper or have his way in the post like he did in game 6. Gasol is going to leave Hayes to help on Scola in the paint and they'll play hack a Chuck if he gets the ball and tries to score.
Put Powell in the starting lineup and both Bynum and Odom in the second unit? Doubt it would happen, but it would certainly be a surprise.
Kobe is fast but is he fast enough to keep up with Brooks? If they put Bryant on Brooks I hope Brooks takes it to him everytime to get Kobe in foul trouble. Of course that is dependent on Crawford et al calling it fairly.
Farmar starting would be a wise decision. Kobe on Brooks, though? Not gonna happen. They love being able to have Kobe guard a Battier or somebody else you aren't required to do much to defend. Asking him to guard a speedster like Brooks would be FARRRRRR more difficult and possibly affect his output on the offensive end.
If they put Kobe on Brooks that is a panic move.....they won game 5 by 40....lol... I can't believe they are this worried...they are not a championship contender. DD
