So a horrible comparison like that is your response to MLK favoring Socialism and Reparations? I mean did you read the post and the article linked in the post?
Man, It is so easy to push you guys buttons. Keep picking and choosing though. Dismiss others so you can get yours. You do that so well.
Sure but is it a reparation that is providing desired result? Debatable. A better form of reparations that might result in more tangibly positive results is disproportionate funding towards Black majority school systems such as Flint, Michigan. The school system there can't even afford a school nurse per school, something that most of us here take for granted.
You've dismissed both posts entirely though? Picking and choosing? If you mean about Reparations I've said nothing for it, but your example was pretty bad as pointed out by fchowd.
My example was about as ridiculous as bringing in reparations to a discussion about MLK's quote on gender issues. And yes, you're picking and choosing. That's why I have not taken one thing you've said seriously. While there are some important issued to address, I find it difficult to waste any time maturely discussing anything with you. It is what it is.
Anyway, this was a good way to waste time, but alas, I must get back to work on this beautiful Friday!
Only with open minded people. Oh, wait...was that a shot at me or a joke. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Eh, I'll just shaking my head at the ridiculousness of your posts.
It seems you didn't even read his first post? You just heard reparations and continued on. That's a good question, his posts on the previous page are anything but mature. Well I'd be open-minded if you presented any kind of argument or counter point. Others would too, other than a Willy Wonka meme and a snarky come back. Hard to be open-minded if you choose to respond to that.
OOOhhhhh.,....good one. I concede I concede. You realize you've allowed this thread to become derailed.
The University of Missouri is now suffering a huge budget shortfall of $32 million as a result of severely curtailed enrollment. Of course this is understandable, as any prospective students with any significant degree of intelligence would be embarrassed to be associated with such a foolish institution. So it appears that this spectacularly mishandled episode is financially backfiring in addition to everything else. Apparently capitulating to these misbehaving children and their politically correct demands is not as popular as the leaders of this and other universities around the country had hoped.
Not sure what was PC about their policy since PC has nothing to do with what happened there - another person here who doesn't know what PC refers to. By the way, enrollment is down amongst blacks and out of state residents. Amongst in-state and those with lower ACT scores it is up. Seems like what happened is keeping liberals away and bringing is more conservatives. I mean, that should be kinda obvious, but since you pulled this off a blog that lies about the real issue, I find it ironic that you got the picture the reverse of what the reality is.
Are they going to Yale, Harvard, Columbia, or Princeton instead? Remember--racial, society-destroying PC hysteria has layers! I wonder if those schools are suffering in enrollment numbers.
Yet again the leftists run face first right into the brick wall of reality. This happens routinely and yet they continue to act as if their cultural Marxism agenda is based on something other than the misguided fantasy world that it obviously is.
Enrollments went down at Mizzou. I'm asking whether you can trace causality to "racial hysteria". It would behoove you to have more than one data point, especially as other data points could be relevant (i.e freshmen students not enrolling due to systematic racism, which could be detected by splitting exactly where the loss in enrollments is coming from). Other campuses have had "bouts of racial hysteria"--is Mizzou unique due to how deep the racism went, or is it unique because of how substitutable it is compared to the other schools? I'm sorry your "reality" doesn't hold up to the basic rules of questioning and probing your ideas deeper--you clearly are a racially hysteria-d Yale man! As for cultural Marxism, of course! Progress is steadily slow but increasingly fruitful. America should fall in 5 years.
I don't always agree with JayGoogle... I would say 35-40% of the time we disagree, and I can come across as smug (because I am); but JayGoogle is certainly open minded and willing to rationally discuss topics.... Just something to keep in mind.
San Francisco State University - 2016. A campus employee assaults white student for "cultural appropriation" <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/jDlQ4H0Kdg8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> She assaults the guy and then when he tries to free himself from her clutches, she indignantly insists that he not touch her. And then she proceeds to attack the photographer. But she has been taught that this behavior is OK, because she has dark skin. Brought to you by Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other leading leftist Democrats.
So we can now use one off stories as conclusive evidence of systematic issues brought about by Obama? K, so can I play your game and post an article of a Muslim American being assaulted because of his or her religion or a mosque being vandalized as evidence of systematic racism against American Muslims in the United States brought about by people like Cruz and Trump? Oh... but that would require consistent logic on your part to not put yourself in a trap of cognitive dissonance. I don't have much faith in you. BTW, I believe that most American Muslims are perfectly fine and not experiencing bigotry. I also believe that white people for the most part are safe at college campuses. See... logical consistency. Foreign concept to you, but it's never a bad time to acquire a new skill.
