Ex-Rockets Jimmy Walker dies of lung cancer.

Honestly I didn't know the gentleman at all, I learned the news from tom.com. He played slightly more than one season for Houston Rockets, 1972-73 (81 games) and 1973-74 (3 games). Here are the statistics from databasebasketball.com.

I heard he was the father of Jalen Rose. They were estranged.

I went to a lot of Rockets games those two season when Walker was a Rocket. He was fun to watch. RIP, Jimmy.

I saw Jimmy Walker play in MSG in the Holiday Invitational in 1965 (?) and thought he was the greatest college guard I had ever witnessed, at least in person.
