I don't see Hernandez playing football for quite awhile. If he got his house professionally cleaned then that is super telling.
That he is rich and wants a clean house? If there was something like blood at the house, that would just be more mouths to keep quiet. The destruction of the security system is the most interesting part for me so far.
I really hope it's misunderstanding or he is simply trying to protect a friend, because I would hate to see his life ruined.
Life is already ruined. All this shady stuff he's doing is already digging himself a deeper hole. Might as well crawl in it. I'm no lawyer, but isn't driving a vehicle(getaway) involved in a murder punishable just like pulling the trigger yourself?
Even if he murdered someone, or was an accessory to murder?? His life was ruined the second he didn't cut out shady elements in his life when he became a professional football player.
At the very least, he would be charged with accomplice to murder. If there is a motive directly related to him, he could be charged with first degree murder. I watch a lot of ID.
Can the NFL essentially apply any punishment they want for this kind of behaviour? I'm just asking because say the unthinkable happens and Aaron Hernandez actually did a sufficient job covering his tracks to prevent the police from having any real solid evidence that he was involved in the murder (just a bunch of indirect, circumstancial stuff) and he gets out of any major rap (say they lay obstruction charges on him just so he doesn't get away completely)...can the NFL still suspend him for life for that considering it seems obvious he was involved in a murder?
Someone brought a decent scenario on the radio. What if he was not involved in the murder at all (at this point, seems he is), but rather had drugs at his house and new the cops would be over to check out his house. Would he not want it professionally cleaned? Destroy camera equipment so they couldn't see the drop off, destroy phone just to make sure they couldn't see text between you and dealer? I think it is likely he did it or at least is coverring for someone else and is in too deep to come clean at this point, but there are other possibilites.
Lifetime ban, not at this point, but an indefinite suspension or 8 games could certainly happen. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...fl-suspension-without-criminal-172420162.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League_player_conduct_controversy
If I were the Commish, I would impose a retroactive indefinite suspension(contract frozen.) I would wait for the initial phase of the prosecution. See what charges are being applied, and make sure that Aaron can take care of himself first before he ever puts on an uniform for the Patriots or any other NFL team. If he did cover up a murder that took place, he deserves to have his contract voided, and he deserves to rot in hell... But with all this sketchy presentation of improprity by Aaron, he knows he is covering something up and is hoping the investigation leads to to a dead end. There is still yet another really disturbing thought that just came to my head...all this seems to perfectly planned, and executed. All the details were all taken care off, and right now there is a ton of circumstantial evidence against Aaron. This has the makings of a professional hit, and how things were just taken care off. Who knows if Aaron had any part of the crime, but he sure as heck isnt innocent of something. He knows what happened with this dude, and I dont know if this was his first go round. IMHO, he shouldnt even be allowed to play till the courts have had their say. If it takes 3-4 years...so be it...He shouldnt have been caught up with anything like this. Plain and simple. You are a professional athelete and are really held to such high standards...You get to play with a HOF QB and HOF Head Coach that gave you a chance. He plays for a winning organization with winning tradition. The only thing on his mind should be playing football, keeping his finances straight and banging chicks/or take care of your marriage/family.
Oops acidentally clicked reply before typing everything. I meant to write you'd hope that would be the case. It seems extremely odd to apparently be "boys" with someone and kick it with them the night of the murder. Especially to shoot them in the back of the head? That's like some hardcore mobster stuff right out of the movie Casino or something. What could possibly be so bad that you'd want to kill another person when you signed a $47M deal, have a newborn baby, are a star NFL player and can pretty much have all the tail a 23 year old could ever want.
I don't think there is any scenario that you could make up at this point that says he wasn't involved in the murder. Basing it off the evidence and reports of the story.
Drug charges would infinitely be better than raising suspicion of his involvement at all in the homicide. Plus it would be obstruction of justice.
