I dunno, that was a pretty good latch he threw in Parsons. Most guys work free throws or conditioning, etc. This fool went and got a black belt in jujitsu.
This. It wasn't Westbrook over harden. They should have amnestied Perkins. Then they would still have 3 top 10 players plus Ibaka.
This is a dumb blonde comment. Adding and subtracting inches all willy nilly to justify your choices.
Hmm There isn't really one absolute stat that measures players defense skills or impact, but the one that people can somewhat rely on is RAPM. I will not use +/- because OKC outscored their opponents by close to 10 pts/game and GSW barely outscored theirs. It's too bad RAPM's aren't available for this year, and the guy who created and kept this metric is hired by an unknown NBA team. However we can still look at RAPM before this season. Curry made a huge stride in his defensive skills pre-injury, while RW0 had regressed since his rookie days. <PRE> Name Defensive RAPM 2011-12 Curry -0.1 Westbrook -0.9 2010-2011 Curry -0.8 Westbrook -0.9 2009-2010 Curry -0.8 Westbrook -0.4 </PRE> Is RW really a much better defender than Curry as some claim? Their trends are heading opposite directions for those two players in the last few years. First 2 games of WC Finals last year, RW was the weakest link. It wasn't until game 3 when Brooks put Sefolosha on Parker did Thunder stop their bleeding on defense and one of the keys in turning the series for Thunder. Thunder won 4 straight after the switch. Pop loves to attack RW. He is the weakest link mentally in the team. If you frustrate RW, you can beat Thunder. Pop understands this. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4zJlzkUpjTo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Remember Parker game winning shot this year? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/aAia7sXMBLE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> How can any NBA player got so lost on his man, and on such a crucial play like this?? It just CAN'T happen, but it did!
