I am pretty sure this has been raised before but JL brought in to basketball people who ordinarily didn't follow basketball or any professional sports.

The culture/worldview of his fans are going to be vastly different from the culture and worldview of people who have been following basketball for a long time.

None of this is to suggest that everything these new fans say or do is OK but just to offer a theory to explain the clash that we're seeing.

There is no definitive answer to how many of them post here, but if you look at the game threads or any threads regarding Harden, Bev or McHale there are a lot of LOF's with that mentality

 

Delusional racists without a shred of self awareness. Fans on this site should be doing everything they can to NOT be like those people.

I cheer for Jeremy as a Rocket - and think he is a great guy overall.

But his fans are something else.

Tl;Dr

Lin fans are inferior subhumans that we all need to continuously make fun of, yet, complain about their prevalence in the forums.

For all the mentioning cf does of lin fns,it makes me wonder if cf and rabid lin fans are like an old married couple; hates each other but can't stop being together no matter how much they may deny it.

 

I read the first few comments and I couldn't continue... Disturbing. It's a cult site not a fan site.

(1). Tell Lin fans to quit CF forum and go to LOF forums.
(2): Go to a LOF forum, copy and paste comments onto CF forum.

 

WTH did I just read?! No way are those comments made by real basketball fans. I couldn't even make it pass the first box. Why does such a good guy have such delusional fans?!?!

Without this diseas we would probably be looking at a 0-2 record and not having Howard as the main attraction for Dwight was James. With all due respect to Parsons and Lin, they are role players and Dwight did not choose to come here to play with them.

In all honesty, there's less than 20 unique posters in the quoted section, with the most delusional comments belonging to only 4 to 5 of them.
