I don't know what sounds worst/more dangerous... Trump pushing his people to come up with "deliverables" to provide to Putin, or Trump "just winging it" in his meeting with Putin. Who would have thought we would be even worrying about something like this and a U.S. president...

LNG to support Europe has been a long time coming, and is only now really starting to be possible. After the shale revolution, it took a while to build LNG export facilities. It won't be cheaper than Russian gas, but we can at least substitute if Russia turns off the supply. This has been the strategy for awhile. But, I guess we can give Trump some kudos for not undermining it.

If I had an ounce of trust in the president, it'd be no problem at all. What's the expression? If you're not at the table, you're on the menu. I don't feel like I have anyone at the table.
And now, apparently, someone in Trump's administration recognizes what borders on treasonous position of suggesting and ceding to Russia's attempts to influence US elections and is now saying the Russian reporting of how the discussion went was incorrect. Or do we believe the new reporting by the Trump administration, a president and administration that has also had problems with the truth? The fact that this is even a question is clearly an indictment of how bad it is... and btw, the danger and likelihood of such conflicting stories was clearly stated when the four people in the meeting was first divulged.
