What in the world is Dallas doing? Even the best case scenario of getting West and Jordan still gives them a roster without a single all-star on the roster.

Nah we are keeping Beverley. His game revolves around Harden.

even if they get jordan they're not contenders. their 4 best players aren't great at making their own shot. they cant get a pg good enough to set them up. they'd have to do a lot of iso ball with players that aren't great at it. a buncha 3rd options in the west isnt gonna get you anywhere. cuban screwing the franchise even further.

clippers got blake and paul a good 1-2 punch, good depth and doc and a lot of chemisty. he knows no one in dallas is gonna be lobbing him the ball close to paul.

With this team, it does indicate that Beverley would be a good fit. Would they be able to offer enough to get him out of our price range?

Deandre wants to join the Mavs so he can try and be a superstar on his own and not in the shadow of CP3 and Blake Griffin. The problem is, he can't shoot free throws. I really don't think Rick Carlisle will have as much patience with Deandre when teams go to Hack a DJ. Deandre is going to end up riding the pine in the 4th quarter like he did when Vinny Del Negro was coaching the Clips. Doc has given him opportunities to prove himself at the cost of winning games sometimes almost as a father to a son. If he signs with the Mavs, it will be a disaster for both sides. As much as Deandre may be the best athlete in the entire NBA, he needs to be managed properly and it seems like, with Carlisle, he will be treated like Rajon Rondo was. I mean, I read Carlisle didn't attend the pitch meeting for Deandre. This looks like a complete disaster waiting to happen.

They also figure to have a lot of resources tied up in three gimpy players.

I am now rooting for the Mavs to get DeAndre. Gimps the Clippers next year and Dallas will still be mediocre. I will enjoy the whole Mavs hype to begin the season like last year only to see them falter because Cuban can't do jack without Dirk being a superstar.

Well, the one thing Deandre brings to the table that is much overlooked is his health. The guy plays a position that is in the trenches and never misses a game. Very rare for a big who grabs a lot of boards and protects the rim.

The reality is that DJ leaving the Clippers would be a terrible decision if he wants to win a championship. It seems that the Clippers may have filled their holes at wing defender (Lance Stephenson) and toughness (both Stephenson and Pierce). Plus, Pierce brings leadership to a team. With Deandre, they would only need to fill the backup center position and they are a real championship contender. The Pierce signing is more significant that it looks on paper. Teams typically would hide their weakest defender on Matt Barnes or use their best wing defender...usually a SF...to guard CP3. With Pierce, teams can't just leave him alone and if they want to use their wing defender on CP3, both Pierce and Stephenson would be more than happy to post up the guard they threw on them. That said, Deandre's ego is going to ruin both the Clippers and the Mavs if he decides to bolt.

Yep, right now I see Dallas fighting for the 10th seed. No depth, starting lineup looks broken down minus Jordan. Slim pickings on FA point guards and their only draft pick is a big question mark. Their PR department is gonna have to get real creative to get their fan base interested in that squad.

Cuban couldn't help it, he tried to pull another Parsons, by offering Bev a lot more money than the Rockets. Fortunately, Bev took a cheaper offer from the Rockets to come back.

But take a look at the Mavs forums. Typical Mavs fans as always they are so delusional and think Dallas is a championship team.

Mavs gonna suck. Amazing how the Rockets beating both the Mavs and Clippers sent both organizations in a tail spin this offseason braking up their team chemistry

If Cuban had a brain he'd sit down with Dirk and discuss what he want to do.

There's no impact FAs left to be had and the lottery is certain so trading Dirk, reneging on the Wesley contract would be wise.

Morey could offer Papa, Prigs, Jones, and a pick or NJ for Dirk and the Mavs should sign a bunch of guys to one year deals and just tank and clear the cap. With a top pick and a ****load of cap space they could make some noise next offseason.
