What's up with Ric Flair and bleeding after every single punch he recieves? Is it old age? And also I know about blading but he just seems to be bleeding faster than all the other 'wrestlers'
he's always bladed and then bled like crazy. I think it has to do with TNA wanting to try to establish itself as a more "hardcore" wrestling association, to counter program against the "PG era" of the WWE, which is pretty boring. TNA has a great opportunity, but they can't seem to book a decent angle to save their lives. "Hey, let's have one of the biggest pro wrestling free agent signings in the past five years get squashed by Sting immediately after his debut!"
What do you expect, they already had this angle back in the early days of WCW. Then again 5 years later. Now its basically recycled because most wrestling doesn't have any new character development worth anything. So what seems to work is old material.
Who cares the sport is fake setup and not real. I'd rather watch Rambo, because that's about how real they both are.
I'm always amazed at the people that seem to think they are revealing one of life's great mysteries when they declare pro wrestling is fake.
I just don't understand how this fake sport attracts so many people to watch it. A bunch of horrendous roid raging actors who walk around in man thongs and sit on each other...... Why do so many guys enjoy watching this ? What is so fascinating about it ?
I think they take blood thinners so that a lot of blood comes out and it doesn't clot. Maybe the thinners just have a greater effect on Flain than other wrestlers.
First off, it sounds like you have some repressed fantasies that you need to come to terms with. Second off, since you already mentioned movies, why do so many people love to watch them? To actually address your point, it's fun to watch the storylines that they come up with. It's also a great display of athleticism.

I don't get why people come into wrestling threads and go on about it not being real and wondering how people like it. Seriously? nothing better to do? I think Grey's Anatomy is a terrible show, same with something like Desperate Housewives but you won't see people going into threads about those saying its fake and wondering why people watch that crap. So why do you guys do it?

I read somewhere that some of those old wrestlers like Dusty Rhodes, Abdullah the Butcher and Ric Flair don't even have to use a razor blade. They've done it so often that they just have to stretch the skin on their foreheads with their hand, and they start bleeding. Pretty gross.
