I don't know how their automatic downvoting balance system works but I would have to imagine that this has the potential to be one of the highest upvoted threads in reddit's history
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>As part of his economic recovery package, Obama decided today to take down Reddit, immediately increasing US productivity by 23%</p>— MicahGoulart (@micahgoulart) <a href="https://twitter.com/micahgoulart/status/240912401766178817" data-datetime="2012-08-29T20:42:47+00:00">August 29, 2012</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Obama is definitely the coolest president of all time now. This is how you get votes people, this is how you connect with the average joe.
Alright, I admit the average joe may be technologically deficient and not know how to work the internet... but he's not appealing to a small demographic either. The average redditor is in his mid-20s and most of them fall in the lowest income bracket. In either case he just won a hell of a lot of votes.
