There are no real backups right now but Clark is new and XSF has to get healthy. The bigger concern is that the only back with vision and the ability to make people miss is Foster.

On the contrary, he was hit several times this game & popped back up. If you land on your shoulder like he did that last time, you're looking at a sprained shoulder at least! Hope it's nothing more

And so did Rodgers. I feel bad for Savage because he was making strides and doing everything the coaches wanted.

Mancz is an undrafted rookie that in a year or two will be pushing to be a starter. The guy is the real deal, he's just from a small program and needs to hit a weight room.

Ferentz has a good bloodline, and is developing but he's unfamiliar at guard, and that is why he's struggling. he's psquad material.

Slade is your strongest backup guard and is a rookie along with Mancz, Needs time.

Clark will be the swing tackle, Adams is a backup tackle playing guard, and XSF needs to hurry back from the high ankle sprain and take that LG spot. Guys has shown signs of being good, but needs to get healthy and just make moves on his development.

I'm still not sure if they bring another guy or not. Maybe if they could trade depth elsewhere for a young guy, I'd like that move.

At least no one is talking about trading for Ricky Rubio.

Was at the game. The guys you say out there were mostly 3rd teamers and free agents. I was sitting next to two other Houston fans and we kept asking who? whenever the OL came on the field. Their pass blocking was shaky and their run blocking consistently showed no push. Add the fact that the offensive game plan was extremely vanilla and you get the snoozer that you saw tonight. Now, Savage did miss open receivers downfield a number of times because he did not look over the entire field. There were guys open a lot. Instead he appeared to only run the play that was called which was probably by design. Looking at BoB (and Romeo and Vrabel) on the sidelines I was left with the impression that all they wanted to do was get this game out of the way and go home - they were very passive on the sidelines.

    Other impressions:
    • There were a boatload of Houston fans at this game which surprised me for a Thurs night game.
    • Saw Bob McNair being interviewed before the game and was surprised at how frail he looks in real life.
    • Texans RBs looked slow to me for some reason.
    • Texans have a lot of size on the team. Those guys are huge.

I think the game plan you saw tonight was because they were mainly focused on evaluating the O-Line and Polk vs. Hilliard. There's no QB battle and I think they know what they're going to do at WR so they were focusing on the position battles that mattered.

Anybody have a link to the replay of the game? I missed the first half and as nerdy as it sounds I like to evaluate each play of every game as it is a ritual of mine since our inception.

it looked like the zack selfieberger injury last injury. in fact , since the titans have found their h.o.f qb, they should trade us zack.

I seriously doubt the Cowboys keep Dustin Vaughan after that performance. Most of the game he did jack sh_t. I will be shocked if they keep him.

But, he thought he did well. I think Garrett would disagree with that assertion. Looking for growth and improvement...don't feel we saw that from him this preseason.

Yeah that was probably it although I felt that it hamstrung Savage to a certain degree. I'd have loved to see him open it up a bit more. He does have the arm to do so and he certainly had wide open receivers. Both Polk and Hilliard just appeared to be a step slow. I don't know if it was the OL failing to open up holes or what but they looked faster on TV than in person.

I hope Savage is okay for the rosters sake but he looked terrible. Even when he had time he made some really bad decisions.
