Heard Brian T. Smith on the radio this morning saying Peyton was clearly saying that to try to encourage his team to focus in more...that by no means did the Texans beat up the Broncos yesterday, and he indicated it was really the other way around. Which wouldn't be surprising given the level of talent on that team and the fact they're just coming off a Super Bowl appearance. He said that when Peyton said that, other players looked at him with a smile like, "what??" I wasn't there, so I have no idea. Just saying what I heard.
It's all they have - empty, meaningless intangibles of little-to-no substance. If you honestly watched Saturday's game and came away either unimpressed with Fitzpatrick or of the belief Keenum outplayed him... then you didn't watch Saturday's game. You were watching a fantasy of your own creation. I have no idea if Fitzpatrick can perfrom like he did Saturday with any consistency - but if he can, the Texans can win 8-9 games, possibly 10. He was a very competent NFL QB. He made throws, extended plays, didn't turn the ball over...
