You are obsessed with Harden. Dude, he is only one Superstar among many superstars to come.

    Get over it.

The NBA now has many perimeter superstars than ever before. And international stars.

Our defensive rating through the first 35 games was 107.7.

Our defensive rating over the last 4 games sans Harden is 110.7.

    Offense helps the Defense
Making buckets slows down the other team
Less transition helps us alot. . .cause our transition defense is not great

Yes, under MDA we have been a top 5 defense after a made basket.

Harden gets a ton of those for the team with his scoring, free throws and assist, so naturally I'm not surprised that we're better with him on D then without him.

I think at full strength with Luc and nene back this team will be back to the top 5-8 range in defense. Which imo is more than good enough to compete for a title against the warriors.

Our offense was actually better than The warriors per 100 possessions when we had our full team.

Having a fresh Harden or cp3 on the court with Eric Gordon at alltimes is something no other team has.

The warriors can throw out a MVP the whole game with a sharpshooter also but KD is not the facilitator that cp3 harden and curry are so it's a little different year obviously still very very effective.

I don't see our defense improving with Harden and Nene back but we'll be able to outscore some teams that we'd normally lose to when we don't play any defense.

We're 16th overall for the season and 26th the last 15 games.

Top 5 teams defensively are the Celtics, Spurs, Thunder, Warriors and the Raptor.

We're behind teams like Hornets, 76ers, Lakers who aren't even playoff teams in terms of defense.

Without James we have no one who can bail us out of tough situations on offense. We can stomp the suns or the Bulls and the Blazers of the world but that is it. We can only compete with average teams without him.

So can we say with any certainty that this hardenless stint disproved myth of him as defensive liability as claimed by 19.2% of the voters in this poll?

Or this is a way too small of a sample size with too much variables influencing the outcome?

thanks for any enlightening comment in advance

I do think we can say that.

One thing though is that Harden seems to play harder on D when he's rested. He was really good the beginning of the season and quite good last night considering he's clearly not 100%. I think he should really consider taking a game off from time to time.

Well. I voted we were going to get better.

I think we were worst. Havent looked at the numbers, at the office cant get to many websites. But by the eye test, we were worst.

There are of course variables haha, but I wouldn´t argue over anything else. I think last night we did some things I dont recall doing the last few games. Don´t know if its the expanded rotation, Luc or what, but last night we did some traping on the sidelines.

Anyway, back to the point, I like the Made Baket theory, more than anything else, because Im surprised, we were really bad on D.
