What makes you think he wants James Harden on this team?

I actually like the idea of bringing in Eric Gordon to backup Harden. Dude is instance offense when healthy and I would bet he wouldn't be so pricey.

Yup. I don't see many teams offering him a multi-year deal with his injury history so there's reason to believe we can bring him on board with a 1 or 2 year contract for the low with an opportunity for him to rebuild his reputation and get that big money down the line.

As someone who did not have the fortune to be watching the NBA during peak D'Antoni...

What players do we have/can sign that would be able to fill the same roles of those on the 60 win Suns teams? Assuming Harden is able to replicate another MVP-esque season.

I dunno the lineup but 2 players who will have a huge increase in every category this year.

KJ McDaniels and Harrell. If these 2 can't perform with D'Antonis offense, they will be out of the league.

Have: Harden, a healthy DMo, Harrell, KJ

Can sign at a reasonable short term salary: Anthony Randolph

    Can sign: Bazemore, others

I like it. This is very doable. Would prefer to keep Capela.

    Curry (Seth, of course)
    Harden
    Ariza
Harrell (he is gonna be a monster)
    Capela

    Beasley as the 6th

and we get the 6th pick in the draft the following year cause Morey struck out trying to chase Durant while we could've picked up young players like Fournier, Biyombo, Clarkson, etc

    I'll predict the roster configuration:

5 Capela, and strong vet backup
    4 Beasley and a spacer/shooter like Anderson
    3) sharp shooter and Ariza
    2) harden and sharp shooter
    1) Conley (one can wish) and Bev

No Brew, no DMo, no Jones, no KJ. Maybe Dekker and Harrell stick, but who knows.
