A college friend of mine living in Austin gave birth to her second child (Andrew) last week, but because of a heart condition he was born with, Andrew passed away earlier today (Wednesday evening). The poor kid had several surgeries and was on a pacemaker and breathing machine before he passed. Please keep my friend and her husband in your thoughts. They are sweet, sweet people and are maintaining a positive perspective, but the loss and grief is so saddening.
Relativist, My wife had a miscarriage just a year before our son was born. She found great support in this BBS: http://www.rubber-ducky.org/carolynsboards/list.php?f=13 You might want to recommend it to your friend if she needs any type of grief support. +
My wife and I have had 3 miscarriages over the past 1.5 years. Also, last year... My grandmother died. My wife's grandmother died. My wife's mother discovered she had breast cancer. My wife's father discovered pre-cancerous growth on his thyroid. My father had a heart attack on Christmas day. Year before that, my father had his second stroke. the past two years have been kinda rough on us. Relativist - prayers are out to your friend. -- droxford
+ Reminds me of when my sister lost her baby a month before he was due. However, she's about to give birth to a new baby any day now. My prayers are with your friends. It's a horrible thing to go through.
Going very well. I'm sure I'll post something about my new nephew in the next few days. Thanks for the prayers.
