Rumor is Patsquach was diagnosed with having the "Heart of a champion" his chest cavity is filled with it.
How badly would it suck if Patrick Patterson was diagnosed with some heart condition that forced him to retire? (anti-jinx)
Anytime an athlete has chest pain, they are worried about hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, which can lead to sudden cardiac death. Since they ruled out the heart it could be respiratory, gastrointestinal or musculoskeletal issues. Hope he's ok.
dmorey Daryl Morey Great performances by @Thirty2zero/@jordanchill43/Chuck. Two critical home games coming up. Thankfully, all appears OK with @pdpatt.
I think Patterson had a panic attack last week Just hear me out. To begin with I am a huge PP fan. In an early interview after the draft he thanked his mom, dad, God, and said something about wanting to be a superstar in the league one day. He seems exceptionally driven as well as humble. I could go on and on about why this guy is an untouchable (piece for the future of the Rockets) for me, but I'll get to the point. Last week when he left with pain in his chest there was some talk of it being respiratory, but after watching his interview online today (at Rockets.com) it seemed to me that they were still unclear as to what it was that caused the tightness in the chest. I believe he had a panic attack. I don't know if it is a good thing if it's true, but it might be a blessing in disguise. A blessing because that would mean that he doesn't have anything medically wrong with him. It would also suggest that the guy has put some unbelievable expectations on himself. If I'm right then he'll need to make some slight changes to his thinking and it will really serve him in the long run. If he doesn't then it could really be a problem. I'm throwing this out there because I'm curious if anyone else has had the same thoughts as I have. And for good measure in case the thread doesn't do it for you:
Seriously doubt it..... He has played in far bigger games. Don't know why he would go "Tony Soprano" now.
He has an upper respiratory infection.. those chest pains were from his lungs being unable to handle the workload of being in an NBA game with an infection in his lungs.
Quick! I'll make the thread about acid reflux. Hayesfan, make the angina thread. Francis3422, you take pericardial catch syndrome.
Ummm yesss I'm sure that's exactly it. I like how so many people think that they can just "diagnose" without any type of medical training/knowledge.
Did Patterson have a heart attack? Ok, this is gonna sound strange but hear me out. Patrick Patterson is a big ol boy playin a mans game. I think that he was getting super amped up in pre-game and pushed his innards too far. I am wondering if maybe he has a heart condition and had a minor heart attack?
