Exactly. Carroll only played 11 minutes for us. How on Earth is that Morey's fault?? And some of these guys don't make that leap until they reach a point where it's do or die. It's not Morey's fault if someone's not playing well enough to crack the rotation, then gets cut and decides he needs to start busting his ass so he doesn't end up playing in Kazakhstan.
I am hoping Morey does have something up his sleeve like a trade or something. Carroll would be a good addition to the Rockets but he is someone that could be traded by his current team to another team instead of being bought out. Right now : Green on a one year deal, Ennis on a one year deal, player option 2019-20, Melo probably on a one year deal, buyout SF if that happens only temporary too. Tucker is only 3 and D wing the Rockets have on contract for 2019-20 and he is our starting PF. Hopefully Morey gets Capela signed soon and maybe another SF hopefully a 3 and D wing who won't be hunting for a contract next year. Hopefully we will soon see what Morey's plan is going into training camp.
smh for the 999 times, there is no benefit of buying out Ryno. And no we cannot buy out ryno and bring another all star here out of nowhere.
I know the last thing we care about now is "Buyout Candidates." But one name I want to throw out there is: - Robin Lopez He isn't playing for the Bulls. And he is expiring. Classic buyout candidate. He is only 30 and is good at protecting the paint. He has a medium range jumper and decent hands. Basically as a backup C to Capela he could be really good in Houston. I know we have talked about Tyson Chandler some, but Lopez is 6 years younger and could offer more.
Would love C.Lee back. Also, Thabo has been getting DNP's early on. He's dusty now but I think he'd be a good fit.
I'd love to think we could get him back after a buyout. But something tells me Phoenix is more likely to trade him to a contender for a couple second rounders and another contract at the deadline.
