There's going to be a comedy tribute to Eddie Murphy on SpikeTv soon, not sure of the exact date.

Richard Pryor's "Live In Concert" is definitely my favorite.

I don't know about the rest of the show, but this clip is comedy gold:

    Google George Carlin videos.

Add a little Steven Wright, and mix with some Steve Martin.

^ Can black comedians do something other than "white people" or "black people" jokes or do they not have the creativity to do so?

What ever happened to smart comedy like Eddie Murphy's RAW? I hate racist jokes from comedians.

Black comedians make "racist" jokes more often than other comedians?

Jonathan Winters roasts Ronald Reagan -

Jack Paar introducing Jonathan Winters in 1963, and a Jonathan Winters skit, on The Jack Paar Show -

I saw Jonathan Winters live in Houston around 1964-65. He was hysterically funny. Got to shake his hand backstage! A genius, and these clips don't do him justice.

I think he did some variation of that female character on a bunch of gas card commercials in the '80s; between that, whatever latter awards show appearances he had and that sitcom he did with Randy Quaid, I always either got kind of an older, more conservative Robin Williams or even a Tom Smothers kind of vibe. The Jack Paar standup routine, at least with the stream of consciousness and Red Green type setting, seem to reinforce that, but seeing him a lot younger it's a bit less of a caricature. Incidentally I've seen Paar's interview with RFK after JFK died and wish nighttime talk shows could do that nowadays, but veeeery easy to see how Carson and his ilk eventually took over the genre.

It's hard to get a sense of just how funny Winters was from looking at a couple of short clips. The man was a brilliant comedian back in the day. People like Robin Williams were very influenced by him.
