    I have a bad feeling about Howard. I just don't think he's worth the money and we're seeing a Scottie Pippen scenario again. I feel he's past his peak and we're looking at a career in decline. Maybe we'll look back years from now and feel glad we didn't sign him.

    Please post here if you feel the same. If not, there are a million pro-Howard threads. This is the anti-Howard one.

    I am teh sympathetic to yer views but am trusting rockets basketball people over my own evaluation.

    He is a very rare talent, for sure. Whether he has the heart of a champion, or can develop the heart of a champion, we will see, one way or another.

    I've said before that I won't be crushed if he doesn't sign with the Rox, but that said, it would leave us in a bit of a lurch for the rest of the off-season.

    Even if you suck next year you can still trade him for valuable assets afterwards. Not signing him if given the opportunity would suck.

    Just curious. Since you feel that he is past his prime, who is currently better than DH for the center position? If so, are you willing to pay max for this guy?

    I think it is a case of beaten Rocket Fans syndrome. As a Former Student and a long time Aggie fan, I used to suffer from beaten Aggie syndrome. It took a Bad MOFO like Kevin Sumlin and a crazy player like Johnny Football to help with my symptoms.

    Dwight Howard and the next move Morey makes could be the cure to what ails this poor guy.
