Lots of early speculation about ramifications of this deal. Talk of a fire sale in OKC and Westbrook possibly being on the trading block. Maybe even Toronto blowing the team up. How will the Rockets react? Would we have a realistic shot at a deal for Westbrook? Do we want him? If Toronto holds a fire sale of their own, who might be available? Could the Rockets put together a viable deal for Lowry? Fire away!
Damn dream shook, who is that? Lol I feel that we better get Harden some help or we may face the same ramifications. We get turned down by "role players" smh...
We have literally zero chance at Westbrook unless he wants to come here. Other teams have far more assets. The most likely scenario is that they make improvements around the edges and hope to stay healthy. The biggest concern now is Harden asking for a trade. If that happens, then it will be time to blow this team up and rebuild.
The only team I could see Harden asking to be traded to if he requested it at all would be the Lakers, and I don’t see them having the assets we would need for that to work out. Obviously wouldn’t be a good situation to have a disgruntled player on the team though.
Hard to say where he’d want to go as there are a lot of things that could change. Hopefully that doesn’t happen.
Why would we want Westbrook? We don’t need him. We need other guys in other positions. Who that might be that Morey could actually swing deals for, I have no idea.
I wonder if the Raptors will blow it up. They spent their capital getting Kawhi so now without him they really don't have much. Build around Pascal Siakam... if so, Gasol or Ibaka would be good for depth.
Covington is prolly the only guy that could be traded here as Rosas is there. Wolves are not going anywhere soon. Dwight is too much burned bridges.
I dare him to ask for a trade if that’s what he wanted. I doubt it though. He’s signed extensions way before most star do for their team. I think he loves the situation here. The freedom he has and the ass kissing and defending the FO does on his behalf
And I think he is not wise enough. Maybe it is about being the No 1 guy the same as with Jimmy Butler. Never wanting to be No 2. I guess Paul George just accepted being No 2 after the MVP type of season that he had.
